The major difference for Maresca is that at Chelsea he'll be working with some top class players.

Where we found ourselves struggling to create chances towards the latter stages of the season i think Enzo will not have the same issue at Chelsea with players like Palmer, Mudryk, Sterling, Gallagher etc

It wouldn't even surprise me if he came in for  players like Winks and Hermansen.

One successful year at Chelsea and I bet he replaces Pep when the bald maestro leaves Man City.

That's the strange thing, That seemed like the Natural progression for Enzo. No one would have complained if he went to Man City to replace Pep.

Fabrizio has focused all his attention on the fact that Enzo has agreed terms with Chelsea and seems to regard the compensation Chelsea have to pay to us as a mere detail to be ironed out. But if they’re trying to push the fee down and we’re digging our feet in, this could drag on…

That's got to be one of the daftest, most inane fvcking analyses I've ever seen.

Absolutely meaningless drivel.

Why do people hate Vestergaard so much he was brilliant for us last season

I’ve heard people hate loyalty!

That's what i want to know.....if this doesn't go through do we have him back?......For me No.

Unless they pay the agreed severance payment he still under contract with us. We would have to fire him and payout his contract otherwise.

Don't worry - he's gone. He's out in spain with them having a lovely time because he hasn't had to pick a team yet.

In what world do you think Harry Winks goes and plays for Chelsea..? They have 270million quids worth of centre midfielder in the 6 role alone?

Hermansen I can see, but you can stop worrying about Winks for multiple reasons, the main one being he isn't good enough at the level Chelsea aspire to operate at.

He was great - but he has major limitations and everyone knows that

I imagine Vesty will be seriously considering not signing with us until he’s had chance to speak with the new manager. He was truly excellent for us last season, but played in a different system reverts back to be being a liability.

I wouldn't offer him a new deal

People need to realise he would have legged it to Chelsea, even if things were perfect here.

Exactly. I think he'd already got wind of their interest before the end of the season, and his comments were paving the way for his exit.* As you say, he'd have gone anyway, but our issues are a handy excuse.

*That said, I believe he was speaking the truth, and what he said needed saying.

Enzo made an error in getting rid of Lars Knudsen the set piece coach last summer considering how useless we are taking free kicks and corners.

Hopefully we bring him back considering Leicester really wanted him.

Getting rid of Lars really annoyed me. Even more annoying now that we have no backroom staff at all.

I agree but we're talking about Chelsea so they might just decide to waste another £50 mil on another centre mid

Will Maresca just become another "one season wonder"?

I've said it before the grass isn't always greener on the other side ,I hope he doesn't fail but look at Chelsea track record with managers .Big gamble for Enzo

Surely that makes it not a big gamble, Chelsea's track record is so bad its a free hit.

He can say I tried my best but my hands were tied, didn't have a say in signings blah blah blah .
