Average player who’s always involved in anything controversial.

He's not the first young player to have been caught driving over the limit or making a few suspect tweets.

Not condoning it but he's no Joey Barton.

It’s 2025, shows how stagnant we are as a club that we are still having conversations about hamza. Average player who’s always involved in anything controversial. Get rid for god sake!! There are hundreds  of players at his level we can pick up for not a lot of money. So frustrating that sheff Utd didn’t get promoted. Though we had finally got rid.

You feel this with the majority of the discussions on our players. Vast majority we're debating should be out the door.

Not a chance we would have got promoted without Hamza, we were a much better team when he started and if he had not put in the best individual performance of the season against WBA we would have missed out on automatic promotion and bottled the playoffs.

A lot of very short memories on here.

There's a lot of divs on here who still think we should be targeting players that would have got into our squad under Rodgers.

Hamza wasn't good enough for a side competing for Europe so these wallies think he's not good enough for a side that's likely going to be in and around the play offs in the Championship.

I never believe any claims about salaries but he was supposedly on 60k.

He’s not worth anything like that, wouldn’t want him if he was on £20k.

Had a few games in 23/24 where he wasn’t appallingly bad and all of a sudden he’s capable of playing in 8 different positions.

Id play him at left back (at home).

He's on £15k a week.

I don't think he was "appallingly bad" in any game in 23/24.

Based on what?

You do realise he has spent the majority of his career as a prem player?

Only Leicester fans would want to get rid of a player like Hamza.

His value is low, his wages are acceptable, he's a good player that can fill about 8 positions to Championship standard and he's a Leicester boy that has only ever wanted to do his best for the club.

I get that he's a bit of a div off the pitch but ****ing hell we've just watched about 5 seasons in a row where essentially nobody gives a ****.

I agree with this other than I imagine his wages are probably higher than his ability but that is the case across the board for us.

If someone (Sheffield United) want to give us a few mill of pure profit and his wages off the books, I’d say good business for us.

But as you say, there’s a long list I would want out first.

That’s just it, it’s not sustainable and with PSR reduced again we can’t afford to be playing bit part players the higher end of the average wage in the Championship

He’s bang average at Championship level. Poor at Premier League level.

If we can get money for him then sell as I’d like to think we could find someone better - or at least with better potential. If not then he’ll do a job in an injury crisis.

But if he’s the calibre of player that we’ve got as first choice next season then we’re probably going to be in the Championship a little while

It's not the only thing he's done and he's hardly young. Plus earning £50k+ a week, he has no excuse to not pay a few quid for a taxi or even a private driver.

He's a decent championship player but nothing more. So factoring in his awful behaviour and the fact he's paid 2-3 times more than he's worth, we should be doing what we can to get rid of him

Yeah this is what I mean.

Purely from a point of view of ability respective to the level and attitude on the pitch, there’s many I’d move before him. He’s versatile as well.

But, anyone that is on wages above their ability needs to be open for offers and he is pure profit.

No he isn't, he was on £50-60k on his old contract so no way he'd have accepted reducing his wages to a quarter of what they were

He’s very championship but I’ve always quite liked Hamza. Always given everything for the badge which is more than a lot of the Tossers we’ve had the last few years. That said, think it’s time for both to move on.

Probably his biggest season yet to make a starting spot his own next season with Skipp and possibly Winks for competition. If we have a transfer embargo, Hamza may be given a run of games which he hasn't had before. With his love for the club, I hope he takes it. Sick of watching players who do not care about the club.

I know him fairly well and he's certainly not on 15k its more than double that.

Capology has him on 15k at Sheffield united the other 70% is being paid by us
