I think there are just so many things fundamentally wrong with us at the moment, and consequently it's so difficult for players to actually do well here or look anything like their best, that it's become basically impossible to tell how good (or bad) most of our players are from watching them play for us over the last couple of seasons. Choudhury doesn't look out of place in a Sheff Utd side fighting for promotion, comes back here to play at the same level - shit. Kristiansen qualifies for the Champions League with Bologna as their first choice left back, comes back here - shit. Skipp wasn't really a regular starter for Spurs but was still a decent enough squad player for a team regularly getting into Europe, comes here - shit. We have an uncanny ability to extract the very worst from players.

 

There are so many who have either been signed or broken into the team and not only haven't really improved since then, they've visibly - in some cases dramatically - declined. I'm sure some of them are just genuinely crap but lots of them are victims of this weird malaise.

Wilder is obviously a good manger and he’s a pretty firm disciplinarian - I think Choudhury responds better to that tha here where he rules the roost despite the drink driving.

Think it's pretty revealing how not far off every player we have does better elsewhere.

There's definitely a rotten culture at the club where every player (bar JJ) looks instantly shit here and better elsewhere. Perez left us and gets in the Spanish national team winning the Euros. Justin looked finished as a PL footballer with us, goes to Leeds and looks excellent.

Once we went up. I thought he started to slow the game down. I'm not a Hamza hater, but a joint love affair with tapping the ball around the back. As a Captain. I'd like him to lead positively. Passing the ball 5 yards to the left or right isn't a productive use of the ball at this level. We are not Barcelona.

Rancid on the pitch, rancid behaviour off the pitch over the years and his somehow got the armband.

Someone who not been done for drink driving, who didn't breach COVID lockdown to have a party, someone who not been fine and warn by the FA for racism and being antisemitism would be a good start.

 

Should be nowhere near the armband.

 

Lack of standards.

Him and Okoli are an appealing match up. Neither have and ability to move forward. 
he turned on the fans first half when people were sick of him playing backwards. Despise him.

One of the absolute worst things about the club! Up there with the highest earners despite never been good enough for the 1st team in any league but keeps getting long and bloated contracts 

is an awful bloke with a horrendous attitude and has consistently let the club down on and off the pitch! that alone should have been enough to stop any contract extension 

the fact he often wear the captains armband tells you everything you need to know about standards at the club.

He tackled well and recovered from mistakes, in possession he is just absolutely awful. Wasteful, lazy, lax... just stolen a living on good money for years. How has he got the armband too, disgrace.

It has to be someone leads on the pitch and leads of it with his standards of behaviour.
