porno mags in bushes is the most accurate for sure. do porno mags even exist in a "hard" copy - no pun intended

The offy/general shop down the road from me has about 3 but its magazine range is generally pitiful.

In days of yore the top shelf was rammed! I cannot imagine it was an easy purchase even then but to now confidently reach up, take the one you like the look of, maybe even have a quick look through it there and then before confidently striding up to the counter and to carry out the transaction and slapping down a crisp fiver (would that be enough? You'd hope so) takes a special sort of individual - in fact, if I saw this in real life I would be offering them employment in an entirely unrelated field on the spot!

Exactly my point. Very often in life, you just make mistakes. If you don't, you're a liar. To blame making mistakes on your mental health or somebody else is to treat this important issue as frivolous. Humans being humans then blaming being human on their anxiety is not a get out of jail free card for being a human

I think we're differing on what we mean by anxiety.

Like that song Rag n Bone Man did a few years back...never actually explained why it wasn't his fault.

But real, real anxiety of the proper mental health variety, rather than the everyday general stress, will make people make mistakes more than they know they would if they didn't have a troubled mind. Therefore there is anxiety, in part, to blame, on this account.

One of the worst parts of poor mental health is being aware that you have it, though I guess this is true of any affliction.

Usherettes - do they still have them in cinemas

People standing for the National Anthem at the last show at the cinema - getting philistine looks if you left during it.

Crook locks

I've seen a few on high end cars. I guess the electronic key is easy to clone whereas the good old crooklock is a better deterrent.

Does anybody remember the Heinz Baked Bean frozen Pizzas? What on earth was that about.

Don’t see Tizer anymore.

Cadbury’s dream Bars.

White dog poo was another but mentioned by the OP but maybe that went out about the same time as the bean pizzas…makes you think.

Boddingtons and Skol.

I wonder why? The weakest. most tasteless of all beers/lagers.

Haven't seen cans of bitter with a "widget" for a long time.

Feel like Worthingtons used to be more readily available than it is now as well.

Cans of Draught Guinness have a widget in them I think, well the 0% ones definitely do anyway.

Porno mags in bushes

I've told this story before but worth another post in light of this comment:

I got called to a report that a train driver had seen a body on the track. Not that unusual as a form of suicide. Expecting the worst my crewmate and I set off to the scene which was on a single track goods line which ran near Braunstone/Hinckley road. We had to walk down a footpath so carried all our kit with us, just in case.

When we located the scene we found not a body, but several centrefolds and pages from the Sunday Sport laid out with stones holding down the corners to prevent them flapping in the breeze. No sign of a body or any human debris.

We had to conclude that the train driver had seen someone lying by the track having some "personal time" who then, presumably suitably satisfied, left the scene.

The genuinely unemployed.

There's a few of those on here I think you'll find.

That's unfair and unkind.

This made me laugh and I immediately remembered some years ago, a mate walking up to me and placing his finger under my nose. 'Guess what I've been doing.' he said.:unsure:
