The only thing I can take from that is I dislike a fair portion of the people on here

This, it’s ****ing embarrassing and it genuinely might cost us Enzo, he looks frustrated that the crowd aren’t bouncing.

Played some lovely slick football in the first half, deservedly going in 2-0 up, before allowing some complacency and sloppiness to creep in during the second that needlessly invited Wednesday back into the game. Fortunately, like most teams in this league, their finishing was woeful, otherwise it might not have been as comfortable as it ultimately was.

Southampton losing was a wonderful bonus on another positive evening.

Gap to 2nd the biggest it's been all season.

NEXT.

And this is after Southampton have gone 20+ without a loss, Leeds went through their "best team in the league" form.

We are a very good side, with a very good manager.

Also if the ref does his job properly they're down to 10 men after half an hour

That’s why we played in a work to rules status..Ref passed us off,so we decided ok

you can’t manage the game,we will control the game management..

They ran a lot across our back line, but without any purpose.

I don’t think they met our GK all game, even when Mads tried some walk about..

Mads parried some raindrops, just to keep his hands in..

Enzo game plan…let’s see if we can control the game from the back, test what’s it’s like giving them ‘plays’ in the final 3rd.

They found more cul-de-sacs than mowacre hill.

Agreed.

Although controversially I enjoyed Praet's performance today. His runs into the half space on the right hand side opened up a lot of space for Fatawu in the first half. Also he should have had at least one assist in the second half if Dewsbury Hall took his chance.

He started great but was one of the worst offenders for sloppiness 2nd half....

How many times have we played like that this season and either let weak goals in 2nd half or the latter period of the game?

Sheffield Wednesday was shocking and probably one of the worse teams we have played at kingpower this season. Game management was not required and being honest when we was conducting this "game management" we allowed them to have chances,  chances that decent teams would punish us with.

All I'm saying is if we do that against half decent sides we will be punished.

However it's a great night another 3 points in the bag, Southampton lose and we are nearly on our way back

But that’s why you train against the weaker sides…:P

Gap to 3rd more importantly is now 14 points

it will go down to 12 if Ipswich win their games in hand and or Southampton win their game in hand (when Leeds would then be 3rd)

Ppaaaaannnnnniiiiic…:frantics:

I don't think you said anything particularly controversial. To say the second half was turgid is perfectly fair.

I've noticed some people have got very touchy over the last few weeks about any comment they seem to think betrays a lack of appreciation for the football we're playing. Enzo's interview has got in their heads.

Yes some are pulling the elastic band now too far the other way…

A nice bit of over compensation.

First half we were phenomenal tonight.

Second half they came out and had a go but thought we looked comfortable, played in second gear knowing the job was probably done.

I'm just going to say it - I like Dennis Praet

I like him too, but whilst he linked up well first half, he fell away badly as second half wore on. Three mistakes in quick succession; thought he got tired. Not fully match fit? Obvious substitution.

For how much more effort Sheff Wed put in 2nd half I don't think they actually ever really came close to threatening us or really testing Mads did they?

There was the low shot across him that he pushed out for a corner but it was still going wide anyway

Pretty much every attempt by them they did manage to create ended up being very low quality

We sizzled first half and were a joy to watch. Could have scored another couple in the second half but as we do in a number of games we surrendered some of our initiative with the repetition of basic errors

You can see the progress being made though and a comfortable win overall

Outstanding first half with a crowd backing it.

Wednesday made a clever tactical change by going five at the back and dropping a cb into midfield when in possession. Our press struggled a bit as a result until Enzo told Praet to effectively play as a striker. Bannan deserved applauds for somehow keeping Wednesday together.

Had another top game, but yes I thought he looked tired middle of second half.

Sort of Ndidi-syndrome…Long term Injury-orientated..
