I recall one big miss (and even that wasn’t a ‘blatant’ miss) by Mavididi, but will welcome you remind us of the other “over and over” misses…

I also recall Meslier making a good diving save of a Mavididi shot, and Mavididi almost literally dropping the ball onto Ricardo’s head who just missed making contact.

Frankly, the most cogent recall was how much our attack dropped off after Mavididi was subbed off (whether rightly so or not constituting a separate discussion).

I’m not slating Mav, i just found him frustrating last night. Of course the miss you mentioned was the obvious one. By over and over again i was alluding to the ones that were saved, they looked good saves for the camera but i actually think they were relatively routine as they weren’t anywhere near the corners. with a bit more composure with his final ball last night we could have been out of sight, same with the pass to Fatawu in the first half, that was shocking.

Bear in mind I only said I found him more frustrating last night as an example. I agree we were better with him on the pitch and most things went through him last night. He had to come off though as he was spent. I think we lost so much taking him and Daka off with the press to be honest but they were both battered.

Just to clarify i’m a mav fan. His final ball was off last night but he’s still worth his coin being on the pitch.

I thought Patson's overall performance was very good last night, and he was really unlucky with the offside call, but that missed sitter looks like such an utter howler, because the ball goes off in a direction no one would anticipate, as if he was wearing boots shaped like a 50p piece.

Personally for me, as I've said before, him and Nacho are both about the same ability, just that Nacho runs on confidence and can be lazy, was not surprised no Prem team came in to carry them off.

Vardy, after a decade of service and being probably one of the best strikers the clubs ever had in its history is in decline but he can still be the equal of the other two previously mentioned when not injured.

Cannon, need to see more of but has looked decent thus far.

If we go up, we will not be playing against defences as porous as those in this league.

From what I remember of Daka playing in the Prem was he was easily out muscled and his decision making was suspect, seems a nice lad but personally I do not think he is the future here, saying that, his first goal last night should have stood, poor officiating, shocking miss but we should have been two up.

We’d already established that. It’s all Nike’s fault

Harry Redknapps Mrs would be a better bet!

Honestly I'm still fuming about last nights game, for the inept officiating, the fact we threw a game away we should have won 4-0, and the fact that once again we cave in under any kind of intense pressure in the last 10 minutes of a game.

As soon as they scored, it was obvious they would go on to win a game that in all honesty, we schooled them in for 80 minutes.

In regards to Daka, I thought his link play, and overall play, was probably the best I've seen from him since he's been here, but ultimately he's a striker, his main attribute is supposed to be scoring goals and knowing how to finish!

The chance he missed last night was bread and butter for even an average striker, but it was a pathetic attrempt from him, that gets worse every time you see it.

That chance plus the one which Mavadidi missed, which was only slightly more forgivable, has cost us 3 points.

Let us hope that 3 points is all it has cost us!

It was obvious on the offside that wasn't tbh. It's like seeing an opening batsman dropped on 5. You know he's going on to make a ton from that point onwards.

7 goals in 10 games - should have been 8 tonight but for a dodgy linesman’s call. Everything good we did tonight was through him, but yeah let’s get all over social media and slag him off - that’ll do his confidence the world of good.
Great support again!

Yep cos we all know a footballer guaranteed thousands of pounds a week gives a **** what is said on foxestalk.

Do the front three actually practice finishing enough I wonder? Used to make up a significant part of strikers training in 'olden days'. Videos mainly show practicing tippy tippy triangles.

We are top because all front 3 have scored..you fossil-muppet..

I think this is where you massively underestimate the power of what is said on social media - not just FoxesTalk, but all platforms there are similar comments - young footballers are reading everything that is written about them. I can’t say this is all of them, but certainly a lot of them. The amount of money you earn does not give you immunity from being human and being affected by what people are saying about you online.

Id put money on Cannon burying Dakas chance against Middlesborough and last nights

Cannon doesn’t get in that position. He moves like a cart horse. He’s actually the worst of our 4 strikers for the way we play.

I know this goes against the overall opinion, however if he ever gets a run of games, he’ll get slated.

😂 Iheanacho is the cart horse out the 4. Cannon is a lot quicker then some people think, only have to ask Preston fans for that

Iheanacho should have better link up play and movement. He’s just looked about useful as an inflatable dartboard this season.

Our strikers are good/poor in different situations just like the rest of the Championship and half of the Premiership teams. Very seldom do you get an on fire young talent like Vardy with the players and game plan to use him.

It's an important time now. He's missed a few easy chances since coming back from AFCON and it has coincided with a couple of losses. His all round play is good though and the fact he got into these positions is a positive. I'd start him against Bournemouth and QPR and give him a chance to rectify.
