Only 5 clubs from 2000 have won Premier league, fa cup and league cup.

Leicester

Man city

Man utd

Liverpool

Chelsea

All 5 still left in fa cup.

Also what happens if we get to final om may 25th, and blow the league and finish in playoffs, as playoff final is a day later may 26th, what will happen if we are involved in both?

We won't get to the FA Cup final. I'm fine with that, a QF is beyond expectations this season IMO.

Getting back into the Premier League is the obvious priority. The future financial security of the club is paramount.

I think context is important.

We just played a Premier League club and rotated nearly the entire team because the cup isn't a priority. I'm pretty sure that's Enzo considering it a distraction.

That's a little bit different to being solidly in mid table in the Prem with little else to play for in a season and going all out to try and win the FA Cup.

Context is everything though

By the time we get to Stamford bridge the table could look quite different again re promotion and if soton isn’t rearranged midweek before the semi final then there is a clear week before the game and an int break to follow

Thank God our management and players never thought the domestic trophies were a "distraction" like some of our fans.

As I've said before winning trophies is for life and we remember the days. I'd rather a trophy over anything else.

This is not the point at all and it pees me off that it is constantly framed as such.

However it sounds like you would be happy to spend another year in the Championship as long as we win the FA cup? This is a fair outlook tbh, even if it meant crippling the club financially.

Definitely, as disappointing as last season was it was only one of the 7 relegations I've witnessed so far. The FA Cup and Prem wins are up there with the births of my children as the some of the best moments in my life.

I love that stat and like to bring it up at every opportunity. We should bang on about it. Proud.

Championship title is a trophy for me. It's not on the level of the FA cup or League cup but it's still something for the history book.

I'd take finishing 2nd and going up over the fa cup. Sad but true. The consequences of not going up are so dire an fa cup will not make it worth it

Would you swap our 20-21/21-22/22-23 seasons for Crystal Palace's?

Now this would be a fascinating scenario. Remember the mother of all whinges Liverpool kicked up a couple of years ago with a similar situation?

Recently spoke to a Spurs fan who said they genuinely preferred finishing in the top 4 over winning trophies.

They havent got a trophy win to compare it to though so how can they suggest that lol

16 years and counting since they won anything will probably be at 17 years . Some Spurs fans have grown well into adulthood with nowt won. The top 4 argument is very weak at best.

I'm not talking about this season at all. I'm talking about every season and as a club throughout history. No club should give up their chance of having a good go at any trophy.

I wish people would stop framing as if I'm talking about this season alone.

Fair enough, but it certainly feels like it is extremely relevant to this season or why comment at this time? Anyway, agree trophies are eternal in that sense, just in this instance would like to get back to land of disgusting milk and honey.

The best thing about this is that we can never say it can't be done. Every season, there's always that feeling that we might do it again. We probably won't get to the final this year, but still, we could...

Because he's watched even West Ham win a trophy recently. People will convince themselves of anything to stay sane.
