The EFL ref said "that was high sticking"

LCFC said no it wasn't so puck off.

Ref said "okey dokey"

The EFL ref said ‘we think you might be high sticking, and we’d like you to show us you’re either not high sticking, or plan to put the high sticking incident right’

LCFC said ‘ you have no right in questioning us at this point, ask us again in June’

Ref said ‘fair enough,

Were you saying the same when it came out that Notts Forest could be in breach of the rules? Or did you have a good old chuckle at it?

I'd maintain it gets in the bin, it's a load of shit. If the mad Forest Chairman wants to buy a load of player that's up to him. Man City and Chelsea can buy everyone regardless, will find some shity loophole. Its a load of bollocks. I don't agree with it, its punishing the disrupters and rewarding the greedy six. Football is dead in its current form.

The move out of the city with leaving Belvoir Drive, was an absolutely massive step that should have had more attention. Albeit, the eventual move to Seagrave was made during the Covid but that is the heart of the club, the training ground. All we’ve done with the move, is effectively boost Nottingham’s economy, for making it geographically convenient for young millionaires to move to their city.

Maddening. Thing is you see the Women’s team out and about in Leicester and the surrounding areas as well. Not beneath them

I'm not sure what it achieves though. I think any club that trys to compete is gonna be shafted, so all this does is maintain the big six? How is that good?

Same with the EFL championship clubs can't compete bar the odd miracle like Ipswich, I suspect the teams coming down will always be able to outspend the rest because of PSR. Most Championship clubs are basically insolvent as the TV money is really the only thing paying for the Premier league.

I see it as about investing in development, especially at a local level. I’m afraid you must realise the big six is a ceiling clubs like ours will never reach. Even if you get there, you can’t sustain it, that’s why we are where we are. Even if we’d have got top 4, I’d think we’d have struggled. King Power had it right with investing in developing players, they bought the house but fell short with coaching staff by sounds of it.

It's an existential threat to the community too as the club barely play a role in it now.

Edit: appreciate this is repetition of what you've said in some instances.

What on earth has it got to do with anyone where the players live? I’d like to see some stats of who was living in Leicester city centre - if I was earning £50k a week I’d be nowhere near it - who can blame them.

On another point - which other owners up and down the league(s) live in the same place as the club they own - possibly Delia at Norwich?! Do you think the Glazers are in a 2 up 2 down in Moss side? It’s absolutely irrelevant if they live on Granby St or in Berkshire/London.

Yeah, according to my partner they’re more than happy roughing it or have been at least in the past, on the Clarendon park Facebook group.

They did but you also have the problem of big six clubs being able to take academy players for nothing. It's certainly right to invest in training, the academy and young players. I just feel this is having the absolute opposite effect to what it should, the playing field needs to be levelled but not based on a clubs turnover. Villa are a big club, potentially as big as city, spurs or Chelsea yet they are restricted, same with Newcastle. Why should clubs who became big before the rules by buying it have a massive advantage in this supposedly 'fairer system. Its broken and in danger of destroying the game in my opinion. If so many clubs are breaking the rules, you have to question if the rules really work.

The whole European Super League debacle was a ploy to distract everyone from what is happening in our country.

With VAR and FFP the people behind English football can essentially decide what happens in order to line their own pockets.

The Super League is essentially happening, it’s a mini league within the Premier League that soon no one else will be able to join.

How do you plonk a world class state of the art facility of that size in the city centre, and why?

The clubs missed a trick, they should have got you on the advisory board when they decided to make plans for a new training complex.

What about all the local jobs generated from the new facility within Leicestershire? Or have we just forgotten about that.

I don’t think people are necessarily disagreeing with your reasoning, they’re taking offence to other fans putting them on a pedestal that they are so committed to the city, that their shangri-la would be Glenfield.

So your argument is the Club has no obligation to the city in which it represents?

That isn't a new thing is it, how many used to commute from the North West under Pearson?

In fairness, I've lived on the periphery of the city my entire life, when I've not lived abroad, and I have very little interest in the city either.

Barnes, Maddison, KDH and Thomas were out and about in Leicester more times than they should have been last season…

Kasper lived in Manchester as well didn't he?

My brain's not functioning at the minute so might be missing something obvious, but that Percy article says nothing.  It has you believe we're in huge trouble and needing to sell, yet the substance is about past financial years that have already finished.  So selling in June does nothing to impact that...

I believe the facility was unnecessary, improvements to Belvoir Drive were enough. Our implosion since, is evidence. Because we are not run well enough off the pitch, to warrant it. However, you’re right, it would be difficult to build it within the city boundary.

They all lived in Cheshire. If you’ve been that way you would understand why you’d rather live there as a 20 something millionaire.

Kasper, Simpson, Drinkwater, Huth, James etc…

He’s always lived in Cheshire.

I'm referring to Wellens, Gallagher, Peltier, Kennedy, Marshall etc. Making out this is a new trend not living here is way off
