I went Shrewsbury a few times in the 80's, all draws, all great days out.

Went to the town again, non football related, a couple of years ago & it has hardly changed.

Top pre season away trip.

I don't think having a match when it is 50 degrees Celsius (as I was in Doha today) would be classified as sensible. Besides Man City owners are from Abu Dhabi.... about 400kms South.

The stadium is slightly further out but very easy to get to from the centre.    

 

I'll be going to this one hopefully.  

It's not slightly further out ... it's a lot further out!

 

The old ground was slap bang in the middle of the town; the new ground is right on the outskirts (a couple of miles out from the centre).   

 

It might still be easy to get to, mind ... dunno.     But the old Gay Meadow was great.   Shame they left.

Went to Lens for the Colombia game 98 World Cup.

About the size of Harborough but less pubs, decent stadium but other than that not a lot of stuff of interest.

If anyones planning a trip, kip over in Lille (half hour on the train), more to see & do.

We’ve played both Monaco and PSG fairly recently in pre season.
