I refuse to believe Rudkin has the phone number of a club even easier to fool than ourselves. I think he just called Disney to try and cancel his Disney plus, was this close to agreeing to a five-year extension at double the price, and was accidentally put through to Wrexham's transfer department as they're now on the same switchboard.

 

While we've got them on the line though, that midfield is looking a bit sparse, can we offer you a Soumare in this trying time?

From what I heard (admittedly rumours) he was a pain in the arse there.

 

Travelled from miles away, cried when he wasn't playing, slagged the club off to his media mates and was never fit. Good riddance - total disaster of a signing.

Sky Sports report that Wrexham’s bid for Coady stands at £2m. With the defender’s £7.5m switch from Everton on a three-year deal amortised at £2.5m a year, a £2m would count as a slight loss for City in terms of profit and sustainability rules.

However, that £500k deficit would comfortably be covered by the money saved in cutting Coady’s wages from their bill.

I know I take the piss but this gives me hope on two fronts:

 

Marti isn't arsed about "senior" members of the dressing room and keeping them around. Doesn't matter who you are you're up for sale. 

The DoF might FINALLY be accepting some lowball bids for players in the last years of their contracts after failing however many times.
