what’s most baffling about this if it’s actually true, is why it’s taken so long.

Except it’s not that baffling because we’ve been friend zoned by all the other candidates

If it were a player dicking us about, we'd be saying, 'If they dont wanna be here they can f#ck off' and 'only want people who want to be here' etc.

If Potter is being a bumlord he can **** off.  If Cooper wants to take us to dinner, lets just spread our legs and see what happens.

It seems I'm on my own here, but seriously, Graham Potter rejected us last season and now he's apparently stalling again, which is why we're considering Cooper instead.

Who does Potter think he is? He'd be lucky to manage a club like Leicester. If what's being said is true, then f**k him. I'd rather not have him as our manager. I'd much prefer Cooper and can't for the life of me understand the hate he's getting.

Why would he be lucky to manage us? If I had his managerial talent I wouldn't touch us with a barge pole.

We lied to our last 2 managers just to get them through the door.

Because we’ve tried other options first

There is absolutely zero certainty in what I'm about to say, so take it with a very large pinch of salt.... However... I was at the KP this morning as there was a business event that I was attending.

As I was leaving, there was a club photographer leaving the main reception, with a massive flash and all his camera gear.  As he walked out the door, he said "I guess I'll see you all tomorrow again by the sounds of it"....

Clearly, could be linked to something different and I assume they would do photos at seagrave (unless they want something in front of the stands) - but IF he was there taking photos of the new manager.... We will likely know in 24/48 hours.

Cooper won't be the only manager that wants it, There are plenty of better options out there.

Lol.. In my experience if a woman spreads her legs, pretty much only one thing is gonna happen!

And thats what I'm afraid of with Cooper.

Cooper will be the first manager we’ve had in years that isnt dogmatically wedded to a certain style of play.

Quietly hopeful about this. We need a pragmatist.

Correct, which is even more baffling as to why it is Cooper they've gone for after apparenlty being turned down by Potter when it was previously reported that the owner wanted the team to 'play like Man City' and possession style becoming the identity of the football we play. It just screams to me that those in charge don't really know what they are doing, but somehow strike it lucky now and again. Lets hope the luck continues. :fc:

We got a better manager than this when we were in the Championship.

At the time the bloke had a total flop of a record and was a massive punt.

Cooper will do, in the end we are desperate for a number of reasons.  Its already taken 2 weeks, time we don't really have.  Potter wanted to hold first for Manure, then perhaps England, we can't wait for that.

Anyway look back, Brendan was our longest tenured manager since Martin & look at the rest of the Premier League, massive managerial churn repeatedly.

There are 3 options:

1) Like Enzo, he is successful & is poached, success is him being successful coz we will be

2) If he is rubbish, we probably expected it and he'll be gone before the end of the season

3) Most managers don't last longer than 3 years these days

It won't be for life and the managerial landscape is bare.  He's just gone through much of the same process with Forest, so he knows whats involved.

Potter was the preference but time dictates we needed somebody in, importantly he is backed with the limited financial resources we will have and GOOD BUYING decisions are made, not Daka, Soumare, Bertrand etc.

And finish 17th and then onwards & upwards, thats all we need to do, anything else is a bonus, the "club" need to make sure they don't fall asleep on watch this time!!!!

I said this to my mate at work but I am honestly starting to believe it.

He watched England on Sunday, thought he knows how that is going to end and is holding out for that job now. England are 2 defensive slip ups at the back whilst sitting back from being out of this tournament.

Nottingham Forest in 2022-23 managed to achieve the lowest average possession % in Europe's top 5 leagues. They averaged 32.3% possession. Why is our approach to managerial appointments so scattergun and lacking succession planning compared to other clubs? Potter, Cooper and Corberan are all so wildly different stylistically.

Brighton have a functional, working model and plan for their managers leaving. They had Potter and replaced him with someone similar stylistically in De Zerbi. They then pluck a 31 year old German from Bundesliga 2 who matches their stats model and is similar stylistically. We're going backwards as a football club and don't have anyone in charge capable of making a reasoned footballing decision. I regret renewing my season ticket already and we're not even in ****ing July yet

If you want to watch us get battered every week, yes its fine.

But that’s likely to happen anyway isn’t it. We were guff and scraped through under Maresca come the end.
