Mr.Bingles Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 Enzo isn't going anywhere. Some people on here are proper numpties. He's just won us the league, got us promoted first try and people want to see the back of him. FFS 3
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 The work Knutsen has done at Bodo is unbelievable. I would be willing to give him a chance. 3

dmayne7 Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 For once there's actually a lot of decent younger managers we could nab and some good experience available. Russell Martin it is
MGLCFC Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 (edited) Villa were smart and sacked Gerrard and got Emery in. We missed the opportunity then by keeping faith in Brodgers. Our stock was higher than Villa's at the time and I think he would have joined us had we gone for him. Should Maresca leave, and I'm not convinced he will, we aren't likely to attract the quality of manger needed to take the club, both on and off the field forward. Edited 22 May 2024 by MGLCFC

CosbehFox Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 You’d have to look up Wasserman clients. Rudders be straight on the phone to Johnny Morris and Potter.

JayTheFox Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 For the short term goal of purely remaining in the premier league to stablise it would have to be moyes for me.
Gamble92 Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 I can't help but think those who just think because we won the league that Enzo is beyond any criticism, or scoff at those that think we have a better chance without him are the same who enabled Brendan Rodgers for as long as he got. We're even seeing history repeating itself with him trying to get more power through boasting all this apparent interest. Do not let the ineptitude of Top, Whelan and Rudkin fool you into thinking we should start handing the power to a manager who's made as many mistakes as Enzo has one year in. We made that mistake with a much more experienced manager in Rodgers and he ran us into the ground. 1

But why “not a chance in hell” given he… currently works for a club our owners own… John Morris is his agent and…. He is desperate to give it another shot in England.

I reckon van Nistelrooy might come in to the equation too. No PL management experience but impressive at working with and bringing through academy and/or young players at PSV.

Product of 84 Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 I'd love to see Mark Robins given a chance. I don't think anyone has mentioned Gareth Southgate. He could be available after the Summer. He will want to prove he can do it in the Prem. I'm not sure tho. Our current owners have a history of making appointments that are not obvious. So it won't be a name anyone has mentioned.
