Harsh on Burnley not getting a title to recognise this season.

 

Same points as Leeds, didn't concede to Leeds twice and beat them away. 

 

Only conceded 16 goals all season and lost half the amount of games as them. 

 

If ever a joint title was justified this would be it!

 

(Not an anti Leeds post, more pro what Burnley have done)

Tbf felt like a release of 17 years of frustration of doing nothing, finally getting to the play offs and knowing they probably won't get much further.

 

You tend to forget how exciting it is being a Leicester fan, with something always happening be it good or bad. 

 

You also forgot to put "tin pot" before your dismissive, lazy and patronising emoji.

 

Must try harder next time.

Never been to a game where people spent more time interested in a match(es) that didn't affect us and the crowd love the news from Pompey WBA.

 

Only problem is that might be us next year and Luton come back up but got to enjoy the misfortune for now.

If the play-offs are as dramatic as the league season has been be some fun.

Just looking at the final table and it's such a mad division. Preston who only stayed up by a point lost fewer games than Cov have all season.

To be fair though, that Cov team would get obliterated in the Premier League to the point where it would be tragic.

 

Provided Sheffield United keep their composure, they should ease through these play offs but you never know.

It made me smile.. I wasn't exactly being dismissive. Maybe if I was actually trying to be 'patronising' I would have used tin pot.

 

Fair play to them, I hope they or Sunderland go up.

Sheffield United have never won promotion via the play-offs

Believe it or not, Sheffield United have never gone up through the play-offs, be it in the Championship or in League One, losing in all eight attempts.

Sunderland haven't beaten Cov since 2007 which was 11 games ago.... 

 

There form is the worst in the championship too. 

 

Cov and Forest both losing at Wembley in the same season would soften our disappointment slightly

I can't imagine there are that many cases of clubs going into the playoffs on five straight losses as Sunderland is.

All records are there to be broken! Anyone but Cov will do at the end of the day. I actually fancy Sunderland to be a bigger threat next season so wouldn’t be sad to see them go up.

 

Playoffs are a lottery though. I think 3rd place still edges it in terms of overall promotions since the playoffs began as like you say, invariably that side tends to be better. In many cases a side in 5th/6th does it due to momentum but do any of the 4 this year really have strong momentum.

 

Coventry have 10 points from the last 6 (6th)

Bristol City 8 points (13th)

Sheffield Utd 7 points (15th)

Sunderland 1 point (24th)

 

You’d imagine a Coventry v Sheffield Utd final with it being the stronger form against probably the strongest side in Sheffield Utd. Hopefully in that event Sheff Utd can lift their curse!

Pep and Klopp have both said they consider Farke an outstanding manager. But I guess guys on message boards know better.

 

The record with Norwich is abysmal. But it's undeniable that they gave him absolutely no chance to succeed. Leeds will do that - they'll spend as much as the rigged system designed to keep promoted teams from surviving allows them to spend. Farke deserves a shot after 190 points in 2 seasons and a ridiculous GD in dominating the league this season. If he fails again it's three strikes you're out as far as the PL is concerned - he'll have no excuses. But he's earned the right to at least give it a go next season.
