I’m honestly not bothered, wasn’t that long ago you could have a punt on the concourse. I don’t think a shirt sponsor affects anything when gambling is so engrained in the sport. The league is sponsored by gambling, the presentation and advertisements constantly promote it. I don’t think anybody has had the compulsion to grab a bag of walkers because they were on the shirt before and I doubt people are going to get a vpn to use BC Games services tbh.

You don't understand gambling addicts very well then.

100% guarantee in a moment of weakness at least a few will have relapsed into one of the less reproable companies (and BC Games seems to be about as "less reproable" as you can get) littering English football teams shirts as they will be ones they are not self excluded from and more importantly companies like BC Game will not care if they are self excluded elsewhere.

Hmmm. Susan Whelan leaves and then....

People on here celebrated her leaving.

Honestly they don’t understand how bad it’s going to get with Ruskin and the Man Baby.

Susan was the only one with any integrity.

She’s also been the CEO of a complete car crash the last few years, with shambolic decisions on and off the pitch really leading to an unrecognisable Leicester city.

If that happened at any other business the CEO would be long gone, she’s lucky she last as long as she did.

She's not a football person. The failings of this club have all been because of football. The Director of Football had to be the one to go and the Chairman too.

I don't think Leicester fans fully understand how bad it is that the only two people with any real seniority at this club are Jon Rudkin and Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn. Two deeply incompetent idiots with full control of the club without any voice of reason.

First time I’ll call our ownership vile.

The act of an ownership that are either dumb, don’t care about fan opinions or are desperate, could even be a mixture of all three.

Gambling hasn’t affected me, but as the Foxes Trust, Foxes Pride and Union FS have pointed out with their statement, as well as numerous fans on this forum who’ve shared their stories in the past, this decision by the club is vile.

There’s worse ownerships in the Championship, but Top and co are seriously cementing themselves in the top 3-5 worst ownerships in this division.

Expensive, lengthy contracts awarded to overpaid players = inability to move on deadwood has lead to a terrible squad.

In turn that hindered our ability to sack Rodgers, who dragged us to the championship.

Completely ballsed up FFP meaning an incoming points deduction.

Gambling company as sponsor this year and let’s not even talk about the previous sponsor, no lessons learnt.

Poor managerial selections.

Poor recruitment.

Anti-supporter treatment of fans leading to a hefty divide between the fans and club/players.

Whelan would have played her part in every single one of these issues, there’s no defending her.

Depends which way you look at it, all of these would fall under the remit of a CEO in a normal business. Personnel, recruitment, financial analysis, customer rapport, business strategy.

If we’re excusing Whelan from all of the above wtf was she being paid to do?

Why do they bother spending millions on sponsorship then you turnip?

You think companies advertise just because they like seeing their name on a shirt? Of course they don't.

I'd rather we protect the club against administration if funds are tight which they clearly are considering we signed no one in the summer than go under because of a shirt sponsor.

Gambling is plastered everywhere so hardly going to have a direct effect in the general.

It's been widely reported and accepted that SW did everything non football related and Rudkin handled basically everything you've listed above.

The only one she would have had a hand in was the sponsor last season, which she evidently did learn lessons on hence why we ditched them, and as soon as she left went back to them immediately.

Did she learn? Looked pretty set to be KBet until the backlash to the leaked images early in the summer. I don't think she was a moral bastion re: shirt sponsorships.
