Today in wtf is wrong with our comms land... (linkedin special)

We've not mentioned our 140th anniversary and instead gone for....

- The official (long awaited) announcement of our partnership with a (money laundering front) fraudulent and rule breaking bitcoin gambling site

- A video about our hospitality featuring twitters favourite womens footballer Tara Kirk (i know she works there before anyone mentions)

Also the 140th post on other channels is just so flat lol

Big chants of sack the board is needed for the next home game.

Too many fans see football as cyclical.  Seen it all before.   The direction is clear and the board is delusional if they think we aren't in trouble.  The time to act was at the international break.

Reputations are on the line at Leicester

Ruud van Nistelrooy's imminent, expected, arrival at Leicester City ushers in another new era at King Power Stadium.

The former Manchester United striker will be the Foxes' fourth manager in 19 months - and the club need to get it right.

Reputations and roles will, and should, be on the line following the decision to axe Steve Cooper.

Director of football Jon Rudkin and chief executive Susan Whelan have come under fire from fans over the years and will further be in the spotlight as Van Nistelrooy's reign begins.

They did not speak to the media when Leicester were winning the Premier League and reaching the Champions League quarter finals, so there is at least consistency when they do not open up when the Foxes have been struggling.

But the context to the thought process is important. Criticism will be levelled at the club and knowing the whys and the hows ensures the much-needed understanding.

Without it, the criticism may lack the important nuance needed to gauge why the club have made the calls they have.

There are also decisions to be made about those who joined during Cooper's time at the club.

Ben Dawson, first-team development coach, left Newcastle United for Leicester in July and has been in charge since Cooper's dismissal on Sunday.

He will face the media at Seagrave on Friday morning with it expected to be just a matter of time before Van Nistelrooy is confirmed.

Dawson and fellow coach Andrew Hughes left secure roles to move to Leicester, Hughes joining from Norwich City, and their positions may now be uncertain with Van Nistelrooy's impending appointment.

Direction of the club... well. Aston villa at home. I saw x3 separate young couples snogging in the L1 concourse at half time. Nobody sings for fear of being called. I'd say half of our away support Is full of people who don't work e.g plymouth away on a Friday. I couldn't afford to have a day off in this climate. I'd say since we won the league 25% of fans are there because of the Instagram likes and attention. I had season ticket from 2005 through the bad times. Now it's the Instagram crew.

Notification of Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha as a person with significant control on 22 February 2019

I missed the date on this massively. So even though it only changed this week, the change was actually in 2019. So it was just tidying up the books and not a new change of control for Top.

Anyone else think it’s utterly absurd that we’ve gone around 1 1/2 years now without having an official club captain?

Isn’t Vardy club Capt?

Posted

I’m not sure it’s ever been put down in writing has it? Enzo came up with the multiple captains nonsense and neither cooper or RVN have come out and said anything about it really.

It’s not like that type of acknowledgment would go down poorly with our fans.

We don’t have a natural leader to be honest.

I mean, I thought it was Coady lol, however as he’s in / out the team like a YoYo then it defaults to Vardy.

The issue we have is that most of our “leaders” aren’t necessarily first choice or are at an age or injury record where they are at risk of missing lots of games.

Vardy even last season, was rotated a lot , Riccy P’s injuries take their toll each season, Coady isn’t 1st choice, then you are left with players like Hamza, Winks and Wilf. When you compare to the likes of Walsh, Elliott, Izzett, Wes, Kasper etc it’s slim pickings.

I would say next summer it’s vitally important we sign a couple of players who are genuine leaders but also at a stage in their careers where they can still be effective and established 1st team regulars.
