He’s played a grand total of 20 minutes in two sub appearances (16 minutes and 4 minutes) since the end of October. He has been fit and been on the bench every week.

So the chances he plays at all tonight are massively unlikely.

It was an awful level of football anyway and an odd loan. The only redeeming factor to it would have been regular minutes week in week out and that has not happened so it’s pointless him staying there. He needs minutes so just find him a club that’ll give that even if it is further down the ladder than we’d like.

The most pointless loan I can remember.

I'd be recalling everyone bar Cannon, at worst Cover should go to a league 1 club second half of the season, let Ruud have a look at Wanya Marcal before probably loaning him out again, same with Popov, Richards and Braybrooke

we don't have a good track record in sending people somewhere sensible as often as we should.

either he's no good (I am not in a position to judge) or its a proper shit loan.

so for now I am definitely thinking the latter.

Splinters again this evening. Get the kid back ASAP.

Do we have the loans manager in place currently?

Watched a bit of the game earlier. Not sure what the managers style is subs wise but he didn’t make a single one until they went 2-1 down in the last minute lol

Just checked their last game. He decided to make a double substitution after 22 minutes at 0-0…. Maybe it is just a shit loan lol

Robert Huth innit?

I think he left and the role was advertised a while back…might explain why it is being neglected again.

I like to think that no matter how shit or suitable the loan Braybrooke would be good enough to at least show a glimpse of something but all he's done is freeze his bollocks off sat on a bench.

Is it the same manager that agreed to the loan?

Time for him to go on and proof himself but I don't think it bodes well.

Watched the Dundee game earlier, who on earth sanctioned that move for Braybrooke?
On the plus side he should now be able to kick the ball higher and further than anyone at the club!

People need to take a look at the players, they are responsible as anyone for making loans successful, Braybrooke, Popov and Richards haven't done enough.

It's a big boys game.

Been putting in some alright performances recently but Port Vale’s form has properly dropped off

Not sure he is good enough / ready enough to come in for JJ unfortunately

Probably needs to finish this season with Port Vale and then get a loan in League One next season

I was wrong, bring him back

Genuinely cannot be anyworse than JJ

Meanwhile Maswanhise now has 8 G&A in 11 games for Motherwell, 3 of which have come against the top 4 in the SPL where the opposition are at least upper end Championship standard or higher.

He was managed very badly by us and like Calvin Bassey will probably go on to compete at the level we're at or aspire to be and yet they've walked away for free or a pittance. Frustrating.

I'm happy that theyve gone on to have good careers. For every minute we gave Bassey we might have persisted with players who fell off the earth like Darnell Johnson.

He may as well have stayed here where RVN could at least evaluate him. What a ridiculous place to send him in the first place!

Sadly we can’t win them all but I agree he was promising and is a shame we didn’t loan him out and sign him on a new deal.

need to learn our lesson, with Alves for example he might need to be loaned out for the next 3 seasons until he finds his potential.
