He's outstanding. Brighton are doing well but I do wonder if there's the odd time even despite that where they'll regret loaning him out.

I think Brighton may well be open to selling him.  They dropped a lot of money on Rutter and Minteh in the 10 and RW positions, so it's not like Buo just strolls in to take a spot.  It's their model after all.

Hi again everyone. So pleased to see him doing so well for you so far. We are all following his performance with great interest.

Just a reminder of what I’ve posted before, that when he signed on loan for you, he extended his contract at the same time until June 2028 in order to protect his value, should be have an outstanding season with you. This was entirely deliberate and to prevent him having his breakout season and then only having a year or two to run down and leaving cheaply.

In other words, the loan is going entirely to plan for everyone. Being realistic, should he continue this superb form through the season, the ball will be in his court whether to stay with us or leave for a top club.

Obviously, if Manchester City/United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona, Bayern came in for him, the player would want to move and it would be a case of negotiating the fee. There would be only a small group of teams in Europe able to match his valuation. If nobody came forward for him, he’d be in our first team squad again as an improved player.

If he has a great season with you, it doesn’t really make any difference whether Leicester are relegated or not, when it comes to his future.

Looking optimistically from a Leicester fan point of view, another season loan with fee is the best possible outcome. But if he’s that good we’ll want him back or sell him for as much as we can get to a rich club. Probably Chelsea again. *sigh*.

This is the final paragraph:

Valued at 18 million euros, Brighton will not let him go for less than 30 million euros, both Manchester City and Liverpool would be willing to accept the amounts offered by Brighton, due to the great talent of the young Argentinian”

I’m going to go ahead and “press X to doubt” on this entire article. 😂 what does it even mean? Valued at €18m, but we’d take €30m? Surely his “value” isn’t just an arbitrary number, but the number we ask for as a fee. Therefore his “value” is €30m, if we are to believe that article.

Besides, those figures are incredibly low. If he continues in this form, we’d get three times that or more. It’s pure speculation (for now).

I’d imagine a fair few clubs are monitoring him now, as he’s showed he has the ability and robustness for the Premier League.

I was unsure on his stature after a few games but he’s really stepped up.

Him and Hermansen are the sparks of the season.

Props to whoever got this one over the line.

I don’t doubt that as top clubs are monitoring all the most promising young talents in the world. Brighton are constantly monitoring players using scouts, analytics and contacts and we are no Real Madrid. It’s just stating the obvious that top clubs are monitoring smaller clubs’ best young players.

This sums up our best case scenario perfectly. Aside from his class, what I appreciate most is the urgency he brings, something you don't often see from a loan player. He steps up and takes initiative when we have needed it most.

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing up a potential transfer move for Brighton winger Facundo Buonanotte, who is currently on loan at Leicester City.

The talented 19-year-old is impressing in the Premier League at the moment, and it makes sense that bigger clubs might be starting to take notice of his performances.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool are alongside Manchester City as being keen on Buonanotte, who could be available for around €30million next summer, something the report suggests LFC would be willing to pay.

It perhaps makes sense for the Reds to be looking at wingers on the market at the moment, as they might soon have to think about bringing in a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is in the final few months of his contract at Anfield.

While it won’t be easy to replace Salah at Liverpool, it could be smart business by the club to move for a talented young player like this to bolster their attacking options for next season.

Arne Slot already has more proven players like Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo and Federico Chiesa in that area of his squad, so the options are there for him to cope reasonably well without Salah, especially if he adds another talented young player to add a bit of X-factor to the side.

It seems clear that Buonanotte has a bright future in the game, and Brighton have often been willing to cash in on their top performers after bringing them in, developing them, and seeing their market value increase.

Liverpool notably signed Alexis Mac Allister from the Seagulls just over a year ago, so they’ll hope to do another deal with them here for this exciting Argentine who’s really dazzling with his performances on loan at Leicester so far this season.

Whether we stay up or not he’s gone next season. We aren’t in a position anymore to poach players from Brighton and if they are selling then it will be to a bigger club than us.

I love his commitment and attitude as a loan player. He does play like he’s one of our own and you can’t ask for more than that. There are areas of development, but there always will be with a player this young.

Let’s just hope that we stay up and FB helps us do that. Ultimately we’ll need the recruitment team to do a good job as we need to find more midfield creativity and forward power with or without Buonanotte

Initially I thought he was a bit light weight as he was getting pushed off the ball quite easily.

To his credit he's now holding off challenges much better and effecting games. He plays at a high tempo and not afraid to have a go at goal.

As he gathers more strength I expect him to get even better.

The Summer was the time to buy him instead of a loan, Now I suspect he could be out of our reach.

He's a massive talent. Hoping Brighton don't recall him in January.

He'll be playing for one of the biggest clubs in Europe within 2 years. No disrespect to Brighton, which is a fantastic football club, but I think he'll be another Caicedo, MacAllister etc going for massive money.

I'm sorry, but I hate this lad. Like really not liking him at all.

Is not ours and is way too talented and becoming a key player. But we will likely hand back.

Like I say, I don't like him

Aside from his obvious talent, his commitment and aggression are great to see.

I think he will go to the top but hopefully, Brighton or any prospective buyers will see that he is better off staying here for the remainder of the season to continue his development.  Would be gutted if he was recalled in January.

Well he wasn't for sale...

In terms of reach, we could hope for a second season on loan! :please:

I’m positive we will have some sort of priority from himself if he is to get a permanent move. That counts for a lot nowadays, obviously depending on us staying in the prem. it’ll be how much they value him at being the sole problem, which fair play they can dictate

This problem is, this is what Leeds thought when we loaned them Ben White. He became their player of the season, they thought it was a given he’d sign so offered £25m then £30m. We said no, their fans launched a hilarious #freebenwhite campaign with t-shirts and banners and whatnot. The club then trolled them by giving him shirt #3 (3 Ben White!) and he played the season for us until we sold him for £50m to Arsenal.

The only thing which will matter is the highest bid and if the player is willing to join. Usually this is for the most prestigious club, which is also usually the highest paying.

He shows exactly why we need to finally start getting into the South American market ourselves

Brighton paid £5-10m for him and are going to make massive profit when they sell him

It’s been discussed a bit before, but the South American market is notoriously hard to operate in. Transfers take ages to work out, with players often being part-owned by other parties, and it is often unclear who a buyer even needs to negotiate with when multiple agents are concerned. Then there are work permit issues and so on.

South American clubs and agents are said to be quite mistrustful and take a long time to form relationships.

We had an “in” to South American markets when we signed a flop called Billy Arce. That one didn’t come off, but it built trust with a couple of the top representatives, who put us in touch with others.

It’s about getting a foot in the door, saying “your client could be the next Caicedo or Mac Allister” and having a pathway lined up.

To be fair Brighton are going to get big bucks for him, no where near the £30m being reported. For his age, ability and the type of player he is it’s at least double that. Unfortunately it won’t be with us, we can just hope we have him for the entire season
