Whilst the scoreline at 2-2 flattered to deceive somewhat, it was a case of just needing to hang on in injury time.

Yet again Cooper makes bizarre substitutions? If we were to accept that for the last 7 minutes, fresh legs were required, why on earth Reid and El Khannouss? The former has shown no previous indication, despite some limited Premier League experience that he's going to be any use in a fight and the latter, who is very promising for the future, similar and very lightweight. Other alternatives were Ricardo, an established defender with an attacking threat, Choudhury who isn't afraid of mixing it up in a battle and Coady, despite his calamity last game out. How on earth could he justify it? I sometimes think he's a little bit simple 🤷

He was at the Everton game.

Barely came at all last season till the run in

Was absent for most of 22/23 until the Rodgers sacking

Goes to Seagrave once in a bluemoon too

Suppose as so little was expected from this game, might be less willing to critique this one compared to games were potentially getting something from.

I was more interested with the performance then the result yesterday.

Always expected us to get beat, the manner we got beat was more interesting.

I though choudhury was a 2/10 when he came on against Palace. Wouldn’t play him again.

The just give him time drones thought Rodgers would turn it around, then they started saying ‘who else is there’? when it was obvious he wouldn’t.

Anybody defending him is simply not worth reading or replying too.

There’s literally thousands of managers what would leap at the job. They’re not all going to be good enough but there’s managers in the Belgian, Danish, Dutch, Czech etc leagues doing well who’d love to manage in the PL and 5x their salary.

The club hierarchy just for once have to stop being myopic goons and recruit from Europe

Have you ever considered that some are still on the fence re Cooper? You don't get an award for wanting him out or to stay if results carry on this way or we turn a corner. None of us are in control of whether a manager stays or goes and all of us share the same hope - that we win. Perhaps sometimes people don't have to be black or white on the issue. To think we sack him, get someone else in and suddenly become world beaters is a very naive assumption. I have my serious doubts about him and the style of play and his tactics but then can I remind you of MON in the early days....Ranieri before we even kicked a ball.... sometimes things change overnight and the penny drops....if it doesn't he won't be here much longer and the right decision will be made.

36 ATTEMPTS AT GOALlol

Even wolves only allowed them 18 lol

Yesterday's defeat by a relatively respectable margin often seems to happen when City are outclassed.

I've come to the conclusion that when we're really crap, we're so crap that we're even crap at being crap!

I’d love for him to be sacked today but let’s be honest top and the board won’t till probably after 15+ games. Everyone knows he’s out his depth but them.

Do not disagree with the sentiment of this topic, but this being pinned feels a bit autocratic.

Maybe we should just have to show our ID cards to ensure we all align?

Yesterdays result in isolation on paper looks fairly respectable as do the results to date, we haven’t been hammered from a results perspective, however when you delve deeper that is where the underlying stats and performances start to suggest a more concerning trend and that it’s highly unlikely to improve.

• 116 chances conceded in 6 league games

• had it not been for poor finishing, last ditch blocks as some unbelievable goalkeeping we would have been subject to 4 hammerings.
• negative approach to team selections, tactical set up and bizarre in game management

• continuing to ignore a number of players who were superb and integral to our style and success last season

• lack of a coherent style of play

• this week we played 2 very winnable games vs bottom of the table and injury ravaged Everton and vs league 2 Walsall and in both games we were lucky to end the 90 minutes on level terms.

This is a poor appointment, the drop off in quality, performance, mentality has been stark and continues to diminish with each passing week. Continually calling out poor referee decisions seems the ramblings of a beaten man, desperate to divert the focus, blame and attention from a manager so far out of his depth it’s criminal.

There are zero redeeming qualities, the players are hamstrung by his cowardly tactics and we genuinely seem a different side when the handbrake is removed.

Realistically there is enough in this squad to finish anywhere from 17th to 11th if managed properly, however with this mentality midget in charge, we will do well to finish 18th, I think as each passing week goes by we will continue to sink to the bottom of the table, he is too cautious even against poor opposition as the two earlier games this week proved, we will fail to win so many winnable games and kill any momentum and opportunity to climb clear of relegation. This is self preservation at its finest as he knows one or two 4-0 or 5-0 stuffings and the majority of the crowd will turn and his position becomes untenable, at the minute whilst we are doing nothing to win games, he is making sure the results and scorelines are respectable enough to try and avoid scrutiny.

I think as fans we know how good the squad can be. From the outside I think it’s fair to just assume we are being spoilt and expect to win the league again. But we know we are 10x better than what we are getting and we also know the players aren’t buying the manager or his philosophy ( or lack of)

I genuinely believe we are better than everton, ipswich and southampton… that’s the bare minimum we should be getting from anyone in charge

I think this is fair, but I also think it ignores they why we have Cooper in charge. Cooper feels like a manager we got following our promotion as a Championship club (You can argue we should not have been, but it is fact) and one who were undergoing a massive player churn and finally topped off with potential points deduction cherry, but with that in mind, now all this churn is over and less risk is evident, we could be a good bet for someone else.

Potter accepted the position and changed his mind, Cooper was a panic appointment and is performing as expected.

He's just a negative, clueless moaning manager. Why demand more attacking transfers at the club only to use them as defensive substitutes in the 90th plus minutes.

2nd time he's made this mistake and thrown away points, the sooner he goes the better.

Do we actually have the budget in our PSR accounts to sack him because I don't image the club planned for this scenario?

I don’t understand why people are peddling this valiant display and we battled hard crap.

Arsenal battered us. If it had finished 9-1 no one could bat an eyelid.

Pooper Out.

Hes utterly useless.

This. 36 shots, 26 on target is unacceptable at this level no matter the big difference in quality. I understand we're not PL quality but there are now at least 5-6 other teams at this (non) quality level as us.

Imagine our points tally if we did get -8 or -9, we’d struggle to hit 10 points.

Hopefully the players go to Top.

Sure. Mads will be leaving next Summer for £1B pounds.

Players didn't go to Top when BR was deliberately sabotaging the team, do you believe they'll go now?

Haha it’s a nearly a shot on target every 4 mins (factoring in playing 100 mins with time added on)
