True. What's the longest a thread has stayed hot for

Nicky Maynard most likely!

Trying to think of any positives about Cooper‘s start here.

I genuinely can’t and hated how Barraclough on WYS said how we should look to pick up wins against Southampton/Ipswich etc as they’ll be down there but made excuses for Cooper and said it’s too early to question his position at the club.

The Palace and Everton results/performances still leave a sour taste in my mouth.

Reckon either the night we won the league or when Vichai passed.

Yes, very true actually. I remember that Foxestalk crashed when Vichai passed.

We are going to see a lot about (or not) his coaching and attention to detail in the next few months. Southampton, as we know, are obsessed with playing out from the back and Enzo swamped them twice. Chelsea's keeper is awful with the ball- will we press him? Brighton are playing a ridiculously high line; perfect, you would have thought, for Mavididi, Fatawu and Buonanotte to exploit.

I genuinely think if we had a proper go the fans would be less critical.

I thought Cooper was supposed to be a chameleon, willing to change his tactics and shape to the opposition?

No sign so far

See, the problem is that people think that not playing possession football is somehow pragmatic. Pragmatic football isn't a style, it's playing to what you've got available and what is infront of you. This isn't pragmatic, it's as dogmatic as Enzo was, except Enzo was dogmatic about a style that actually suited the squad he had to pick from.

Agree!

Much like the club in some ways

Wonder what Vichai would've changed at present, barring a different manager.

He would have been more cut throat with Rodger’s and we’d still be in and around European places so we wouldn’t have got ourselves in this situation. But I think he’d get rid of Cooper in the here and now - the results and performances are one thing but he just doesn’t fit. We’ve gone up a league, but somehow got a poorer manager - I can’t imagine Vichai letting that happen.

I Genuinely think Enzo with last season’s squad would do better than Cooper this season.

This is just a waiting game now. Cooper will be sacked, but when?  Likely we will hold out too long again to no one’s benefit. The man is useless, spineless and clueless. I mean have a bloody go. What have you got to lose. His current ‘strategy’ is chocolate teapot level. Just bang out an attacking team, unleash the dogs and see what happens.

We can certainly try to be compact whilst offering a fast threat on the counter.  I’m actually missing Enzo, which is frankly depressing.

We're gonna waste possibly our best run of fixtures on this fool just because we're too cowardly to admit we were wrong. Make no mistake we'll get exactly what we deserve this season

Can we afford to sack him though. Will it push us over the psr limit sacking him.

If Vichai was still alive,we wouldn’t be in the shit we are.All this was Vichai dream, not Tops.I just feel that Top is here to try and fulfill his dad’s legacy.I don’t think his heart is in it tbh.Vichai would have sacked Rogers sooner and probably Ruskin imo.

No idea mate. We've wasted plenty of money on mediocre players and inflated contracts so if we can't then we're even more of a shambles than I feared

Won’t impact it.

We stick with him, we go down and lose 100’s of millions in revenue.

We recruit one of the obvious 5 that have been consistently listed by myself and others on here and we more than likely would stay up.
