Cooper is  not doing his best with a terrible hand. He’s not playing his best 11, he’s playing players out of position, his tactics are pragmatic to the point that we can’t create chances and he’s created a lack of belief in the players in their own ability. He’s currently doing a bad job with a distinctly average hand.

Thanks for your take on this.

It's all about opinions. The only way we will find out is if he goes. Then the new Manager will be judged on his results with

the same squad.

I genuinely would give Cooper more time as I just can’t stand the sacking culture in football but he’s certainly not doing the best he could. Baffling decisions and poor in game management.

Bottom 7 have just 2 wins between them, accepting some have played each other but that’s 42 attempts to win a match!

About the same as last season then. The gap between the Prem and Champ seems much bigger than when we last came up.

think its more down to having shite managers, or inexperienced managers at this level rather than the gap widening. when we went up the promoted sides had: redknapp, pearson and dyche.

and of those only Redknapp had more than a couple of games as caretaker as far as experience at this level

yeah. but dyche and pearson went on to be good managers at this level, especially dyche. can't see russell martin or steve cooper managing in the prem for as long as dyche has

Not all opinion. Cooper isn’t playing his best 11. That’s a fact. His best team would include both Mavididi and Fatawu and would always utilise a creative central midfielder.  His selections are based on pragmatism. That pragmatism has helped Cooper to a remarkable 19 consecutive premier league games WITHOUT a win.

If they recruit a better manager than Cooper then they will get better results with the same squad , Enzo is a better manager than Cooper. He would’ve got more points with the same squad. They need to recruit a manager with at least that level of ability, irrespective of the style of play and then results will improve.

Where’s the logic in keeping a manager in a job he’s clearly not able to do purely to make a stand against the sacking culture though? His decision making and in game management isn’t suddenly going to have a complete reversal. This is what we will get with Cooper, he’s displaying exactly the same traits that he did at Forest.

There probably isn’t any logic. It’s an emotional decision based in the fact that he seems a nice enough guy. But you’re right, logically the signs point to a replacement being the best option.

By all accounts Ian Holloway is one of the nicest guys you could meet tbf. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I NEEDED to know the answer to this.

They seem a sane bunch

And for th0se who point out we have 3 times as many points as them, that would be 19 points for the season at this rate, which when compared to Southampton 6.33, makes no ****ing difference cos both are ****ing shocking!

Bloody hell. Even Southampton fans have bigger ambitions than us

Troy Deeney thinks Justin's first goal was a 'decent header'. It took a deflection on its way in lol

Has included him in his team of the week as there wasn't much to do defensively, apparently, just because the goals came down our left.

There was a similar clamour for him to go from their fans around this time last season, they changed their minds pretty sharpish once results picked up. That won’t happen this time though, imo.
