You absolutely want Pep seething like he was when we beat them 5-2. Still makes me laugh he said how negative we played after scoring 5. 

 

When he's praising you you know that you bent over and let them take you up the tail pipe.

What was that Brighton player (Weiffer?) doing! 2-1 in stoppage time and 4 on 1 and gives the ball straight to the Wolves defender and within seconds, 2-2!

 

Imagine this place if that was us!

It was excellent defending. He didn’t give the ball straight to him.

Hmm. As a defender in that situation, all you can really do is make your choice and hope for the best. That’s not taking away from him but there is no excuse for that from the attacker. A defender 1 of 4 should not even have a chance!

That is true although for him to win that was excellent. Also I think it was actually Doyle who was the one that won it back.

Oh yeah definitely. Mentally as much as anything else. Being a defender (or midfielder in that position) and having 4 attackers bearing down on you, it’d be easy to panic, lose your position or just go hiding as nobody is going to blame you in that position. To get his positioning right was a great bit of defending.

 

But yeah, I guess what I meant originally, was that no defender should be given a chance there so I think the attacker has to take some serious responsibility there given they went up the other end for 2-2.

but it’s been well known in football that Moore was potentially a generational talent.  Alves hasn’t seemed to come back from his ACL with the same levels that he was showing.  Could be that in two or three years that  things have changed around but for now, that’s where we are. Haven’t seen much to show that any other of our 17/19 y o should be pushing for a game day squad place.

Annoyance is more we don't know if any of ours will as they're never given an opportunity.
