Really not all that sure about that.

Think you'll find PSV fans and players less complimentary.

Think he might be a bit of a weird dude in general.

Some of the players were backing him including the likes of Sangare, he won two trophies that’s not too bad, he would certainly be an upgrade compared to Cooper.

Really have no idea how United are going to make the back line work with Amorim. Out of the wing-backs and centre-backs, Martinez is the only one who I think it really suits on the left side of the 3.

I bet they go in for Frimpong in January or the summer.

To be fair Mavis the tea lady would be an upgrade on Cooper . . .

I think RVN was considered in the summer but deemed to risky. I’m not sure our board will lower their risk tolerance from a position of needing to sack cooper. If cooper goes we go for potter and when that fails, we will bring in a so-called ‘proven’ numbskull again.

Lucas Paqueta is set to miss West Ham's Premier League clash with Leicester in December after being summoned to appear in front of a betting investigation in the Brazilian parliament.

i mean, given there's the photos of him in blackface for christmas back in 2013 (dutch culture around christmas is hella racist), that seems like a safe bet.

I'm never sure why some managers are considered risky. You only have to look at Brighton with the risky selections of Potter, De Zerbi and now the Prem's youngest ever manager in Fabien Hurzler to see how far risk can take you. Time and again "proven" managers don't make it at the top level. Wenger was risky for Arsenal.

I think for a club like us, there needs to be risk. You can’t challenge at the top without that.  We wouldn’t have considered Maresca if we weren’t in the championship and that’s sad really

Because for every De Zerbi or Hurzler there’s a Frank De Boer, Bob Bradley, Jesse Marsch, Remi Garde or Steven Gerrard.

That’s exactly why they are risks, some will pay off big time, some will come in and flop really badly. The e question is always is the risk of what they might bring too big or bigger than the potential rewards.

The reason the tried and tested d managers keep getting jobs, Is because usually they keep the sides up. They are never going to kick them on to the top half and challenge for European places, but they’ll do just enough.

Now it depends on your goals for the season as to who you want to take a risk on. I’ve always thought Cooper was just for this season, he’ll keep us up and that’s all we need to do in season one. We shake hands at the end of the season and then we take a chance on someone who can kick us on a bit, with the safety net of being ahead of the three promoted sides in terms of squad and what we can spend.

This season is purely in my eyes the real dirty work before the foundations are laid next season.

Without a debate as to the likelihood as to whether or not Cooper will keep us up, I think the chances that he would keep us up and as you say, shake hands and part ways, is practically zero. More likely he’d be given a new contract.

It’d be like when Shakey kept us up in 2017 and was then given the gig permanently despite being out of his depth (as a manager, second to none as an assistant and coach).

Brighton use stats for the managers, like they do with players. They bring managers in based on a similar style to the players they already have to lower the risk.

There was contact with Maresca when we were still in the Prem, after the initial sacking of Rodgers but he wanted to see through the treble at Man City.
