The standard of the Premier League this year is appalling. The likes of Man City, Man United, Spurs all very ordinary.

Until they play us and we make them look like world beaters again

Wolves playing quality football, that's what happens when you get an experienced manager who wants to succeed in the premiership

Wolves have got a good side. We haven't.

To be fair to RVN, I don't think he has ever been in a relegation battle neither as a player nor manager, has he?

Not sure I agree? Apart from a few moments in the game, Wolves were on the front foot for large portions of the match.

Players like Goncalo Guedes had stand out performances against us which may have part to do with bringing a manager of experience and quality.

didnt you mention something about Ward on that Sunday before the game too?

they really didnt play that well imo

i wouldnt even say they was on the front foot either, think they only had 8 shots, and thats low against us

they looked alot better in terms of organisation and structure, and they certainly got a rub of the green

And a goalie capable of making a save

Correct and I stand by my comments. I said I rated him higher than Iversen and that him starting over Iversen was the correct decision as I believe he's the 3rd best goalkeeper (behind Stolarczyk and Hermansen).

Not sure what this has to do with this discussion though?

Regardless, much fancied our odds against Wolves under Gary O'Neil than Wolves under Vitor Pereira.

and i/many others stand by the fact we'd have done better with a keeper who can actually save he ball, pretty evident now

Wolves really wasnt that good, i honestly think they played better against West Ham compared to us, they was pretty average, id say Bournemouth played better

even West Ham and Brighton, Personally id have still fancied O'Neil's wolves over us, cos frankly theyd played alright, just not getting the rub of the green, ala West Ham away

Personally believe the bigger, underlying issue is the defence... At least more so than who is in goal (for me at least) then goalkeepers in Ward/Iversen who are behind Stolarczyk and Hermansen in the pecking order.

Hopefully we can address and sort out the defence in the upcoming window.

Sadly i dont think we have enough faith in the clowns running the club at this point

And yet the commentators and the press still keep banging on about it being the "best league in the world".

I would also say that the modern style of play makes for so many dull and unexciting games.

Take Man C v Man U. Historically a fractious, highly contested fixture with loads of incidents and excitement, even as a neutral it was one to watch.

The last derby was so tedious.

With Everton and Palace in good form and with the latter playing Southampton next, we could be cut adrift of 16th place by the turn of the year.
