Whilst we are talking about our position in the EPL, this is an interesting chart. (Too me anyway) - apologies if it does not below in this topic, was not sure where to put it

We'll never see green like it for our row...

Great debate on TalkSport about an hour ago, would you rather play pretty or win ugly 'like Forest'?

Personally I don't see what's ugly about how Forest play at all, I really don't, it's great to watch (Style wise. Rivalry not considered), it's thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining and exciting.

Those who talk of 'pretty' football I don't see what's pretty about it whatsoever and I tell you what is ugly to watch - A team trying to play so called pretty football who simply can't do it - Of which is the majority of teams.

After quarter of a century being useless I’d rather we win ugly than lose pretty.

But I don’t find our football - defence to scoring a goal in 12 seconds - ugly.  I’m obviously biased, but I find it exciting to watch.

I suppose the PL as a whole is more exciting if there’s a variety of styles.

Coopers football was ugly though, there's a fine line between what Nuno is doing and what Cooper was trying to do, granted we don't have the players Forest have though so hard to play like them if you've not got the players.

100%. As for the PL as a whole being more exciting if there's a variety of styles, well there lies the problem when the majority in the PL and throughout the pyramid are trying to be Man City-lite.

Just get the best out what you have available.

I'm not saying Cooper was trying to do it or not, that's not the debate i'm looking for. I'm not sure what players we have to play in what way, but we certainly did have the players and we continued to sign those type of players despite a remit by the powers that be and employing managers that want to play the total opposite.

I'm just glad the questions are being asked and the debates are finally being had within football and in the media. Next, I just hope we see change, I do believe it's coming. Slowly.

One thing for me Man City, Arsenal, Barcelona under Pep I find/found them all boring to watch. It’s slow and about as far from as exciting as you can get. Give me counter attacks any day.

I was lucky enough to see Pep's Barcelona live, and I found it highly entertaining. Seeing them ping the ball around with such speed and precision was impressive - definitely not slow. But it may well have been more like the kind of entertainment you get from watching highly skilled performers in any art form, than exciting football per se..

also find high speed counter attacks that we used to be so good at, and Forest do now, pretty thrilling.

When did Pep manage Arsenal ?

It's how we played during our greatest ever year, and I won't lie I'm jealous watching other teams do it because I genuinely thought we'd broken the dam and shown there was another way to play besides pound-shop Tiki Taka.

Anyone who thinks it's 'ugly' or 'boring' to sit deep and play on the counter is watching the wrong sport. There is no greater thrill than turning it around in the blink of an eye and leaving the opposition wondering just what hit 'em.

It's utterly depressing that our club hierarchy were brainwashed into thinking possession at all costs was the blueprint to build on. It's ruined our identity and led to some very questionable signings. Even during the 'good times' under Rodgers, it only ever really worked against teams also dead-set on the same style with worse players (like Southampton) - we regularly had our pants pulled down when another team set themselves up to counter - like yourselves twice down the City Ground, first in the cup and then the year after in the league.

Liverpool wouldn't stand for that to be fair.

Not sure about that.

Soon turn them round.
