Might be in my own, but not sure the accidental nature should let him off. Was dangerous.

It only becomes dangerous because of the slip. It's not intentional, no malice and no forceful contact endangering the opponent.

I read on the West Ham forum that he is basically trying different things and practically every player.

I see Potter as a builder. Over time I’m sure he will be okay at West Ham.

Wouldn't it better to settle on your 11 and formation before you start, then stick to it rigidly until results improve?

I wouldn’t have thought so in their position. He got them away from danger in the end, minds well start testing out.

That Spurs midfield is talented, but couldn't punch it's way out of a wet paper bag. Fancy Liverpool will run a train over these today, especially with one eye on Thursday

Intent doesn't matter. It's either dangerous or not.

And what he did wasn't dangerous.

Isn't intent part of the law?

Feels dirty to say it, but a Spurs win would actually be really funny today.

Be nice if Sky acknowledged that Liverpool had opponents today...

Doesn't look like it:

SERIOUS FOUL PLAY

A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play.

Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.

Yep. They've filled the studio with Liverpool pundits ready for the celebration. Would be great is Spurs delayed the inevitable.

**** Liverpool.

I can't forget Heysel when 39 Juventus fans died and over 600 were injured, some with life changing injuries due to attack by Liverpool fans. The Liverpool supporting British sports media seem to forget.

Hooliganism wasn't just a British problem back then. In fact this country managed to tackle it but there are countries in Europe with a huge amount of hooligans still. Italy, Serbia, Greece, Netherlands to name a few. And there's also Turkey but they're not actually a European country.
