Ricardo would be perfect in the role that Reid is playing coming inside into the midfield. Considering how shit Reid is the fact Ricardo is wasting away on the bench is infuriating.

Riccy is quality. And I'm convinced would enable us to use / retain the ball better. He's a good technician and very experienced. I'm not certain what would be his most ideal position in this Cooper set up. But he's got to be show horned into the starting 11 surely.

The only reason for his continued absence - is that our board are aiming to sell Him in this transfer window.

Only good news is that our board are so inept, that he is likely to stay and will be in the starting team from August 31st

The concern is the damage this will do, if the club are trying to flog him regardless of whether that is Rudkin driven or Manager driven, I can’t see this ending well given Riccy is such a well respected and good pro.

No doubt this is PSR driven but in reality another piss poor decision to protect the ineptitude of our incumbent DoF who is incapable of shifting our fringe players for sensible deals.

Cooper sat down with Ricardo ahead of the first game of the season to tell him he was selecting Justin as his right-back for now. The manager gave the impression that it is a choice between the two, and that he won’t consider either in place of Victor Kristiansen on the left.

Should be the other way around, the right back position should be locked down for Ricardo and Kristiansen and JJ should be competing for the left back position.

I don’t think Ricardo will be a regular at right back again in his career, too physically demanding. It’s not a coincidence that he moved into midfield and had his first injury free season in god knows how long.

mercury said it was a cooper decision

because the alternative would be to say it’s a board decision

and no one is going to say that are they

the point being that none of us know for sure

Our club have never got involved with manager’s decisions previously, even when we were close to selling the likes of Mahrez and Maguire they still played right up to the point of their exit from the club. It’s a massive stretch for anyone to try and take Cooper out of the firing line as to why one of our most talented players has been sidelined so far this season.

Hmm those players were not as injury prone in the pre dating period to their moves.

Maybe the risk is being weighed up.
