Let's not forget his time at Norwich, I think the Championship is more his level.

 

Skipp went on to help Norwich win the Championship and was included in the 2021 PFA Team of the Year.

He essentially played a championship club the other day and didn't look any good.

 

You have to remember he had a bad injury a few years ago and his form never recovered. There's a good chance that he's a significantly worse player now than when he was at Norwich.

Absolutely dreadful today. Seems incapable of going forward. Every time he gets the ball he can’t play on the turn and look forward, he just plays sideways or backwards.

The 25 million we wasted on him looks worse and worse every time he plays.

He would have been overpriced at 5 million. Whoever authorised this signing needs to go.

Him and Ndidi constantly passing back to Faes who pisses about to then leave the keeper with a short pass.  All could be avoided if they actually tried to turn with the ball or pass forward first time.

I can see why people don't rate him technically he is garbage but he could do the role of Ndidi / Soumare and give us another option in midfield which we desperately need.

 

He must be rusty as hell no with hardly any game time all season.

Yes, it happened time after time.

5 or 6 risky passes backwards and sideways between Ndidi, Skipp, Coady and the goal keeper to get us absolutely nowhere.

We need someone better than Ndidi/Soumare/Skipp to do that role. That’s one of the main reasons we are so pathetic in attack and defence.  Ideally we can bin them all off.  If we keep Skipp and come straight back up, do you trust the idiots in charge to not give him a new contract? 
 

I understand it’s a tough one with PSR etc but there has to be a point where playing these morons is a bigger hit.

Skipp was great for Norwich in the Championship, with Nidid and Soumare likely to be off he will be fine but yea we could do with another for sure.

If we refused to work we would not be paid, would get disciplined and then sacked.  Pathetic, he needs to grow up!

He was superb for us last season. I don't like his attitude and thought he was in the wrong, but we can ill afford to have a player of his talent in the championship.not play

He'd surely have to tear up his own contract then, if that's true, there must be something the club can do as he's not honouring his contract
