If he stays in the prem, it'll be with a Bournemouth type team.

He's nowhere near the level of the top 6.

Bournemouth wouldn't pay close to what we'd demand. That's why I think he'll stay - he has a lot of promise but probably hasn't yet done enough for anybody to pay £35-40m for him, which is what it would take.

Certainly don't think we'd get much more than £25m for him which with 1 years amortisation on a 4 year deal means we'd only bank about £10m profit which unlikely to do much for us.

Think we're in for a rude awakening this summer on generating much profit for PSR. I'd rather we clear the decks as a priority rather than a misplaced belief keeping most of this squad will see us promoted again and then worry about fixing things again the following year.

He went on strike to move here so probably will do the same. Honestly I’m not that sold on him, he’s relatively talented but nowhere near the level people gas him up to

Dont remember that. Any sources for that?

You can virtually guarantee it will be the latter.

Bilal is a talented player and the one good decision the club made in the summer.

He is in a dreadful situation. Players around him are dire. Manager is clueless. Board incompetent and 13 defeats in 14 the whole squad will have 0 confidence at all.

I hope he stays next year and can be the creative player we need. Very talented player in a hopeless team

My gripe personally is he doesn't score enough. I'm not pinning this situation on him but he didn't score many at all in Belgium either for a quite attacking player and I don't think it's a coincidence that he hasn't solved the issue at all. Think he's more creative than Buonanotte but he isn't as good a goalscorer.

It's a total farce that Van Nistelrooy doesn't play them both. We can't defend anyway. We can't attack anyway. Lets at least make it a little less predictable and have them both on the pitch.

BDCR and Ayew are only declining. I don’t even rate him but at least McAteer is quick, homegrown and hungry. Play him, Bilal and Buonanotte and we at least have a bit of dynamism going forwards. Then try Evans and Monga off the bench.

The situation we’re in is shit but it gives a rare opportunity to play players with any pressure of needing results - it can hardly be worse.

Worth pointing out that relegation makes the Ayew & Decordova-Reid signings totally pointless, and frankly damaging. Literally only justification for those two especially can be if we achieve anything in the short term and we've abjectly failed.

Van Nistelrooy has gotten the balance entirely wrong. He's managed to nerf our poor attacking to a point we overplay and now never score, while not improving the defence one bit.

On the other hand a lot of the big spend from a few years ago must also come off the books

If we keep losing he won't have any offers. Ruud in.

And Skipp. All of these signings had serious holes picked in them by a few on here on the summer - that’s with a cursory glance at stats sites too. Nevermind what Rudkin and Glover would have access to.

McAteer is not quick! Very limited player (not saying Ayew and BDR are any better btw)

McAteer has a decent amount of pace to be fair to him, he's certainly not rapid but you can't call him slow by any means

“You should follow your heart” – Leicester City player doesn’t regret decision one bit

Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss has admitted he chose to follow his heart when he decided to play for Morocco instead of Belgium on the international stage.

relayed by Voetbal Zone  with the Leicester man today in which he says it was a decision of the heart when it came to choosing his international allegiance.

The 20-year-old Leicester City player has duel nationality after being born in Strombeek-Bever in Belgium to Moroccan parents, meaning he was free to choose between the two nations when it came to deciding his international allegiance.

He was previously a part of the Belgium youth set up, making appearances for the U15s, U16s, U18s and U20s between 2019 and 2021 before then deciding to swap to Morocco.

That proved to be a smart move for him as he quickly rose up the ranks in their youth set up and was included in the 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He later made his international debut in the third placed play-off defeat to Croatia.

He was later a part of the nation’s U23 squad which won the U23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morrocco, qualifying for the 2024 Summer Olympics in the process.

It’s a decision the Leicester man does not look back on with any regret, admitting it came down to a choice of the heart.

“You should always follow your heart. Look, you shouldn’t go against your heart,” he said.

“If you want to play for Morocco, you should do it. If you want to play for Belgium, you should do it. You just have to follow your own heart and don’t look too much at what people think. Or what people say for your choice. You just have to follow yourself, your own path.

“And for me it was Morocco. So, I’m very proud of that. And, uh… I think that I, uh, that I made the right choice.”

Round of applause for this lad tonight, was great today. Two assists and hit the post, the cross for the second was a dream for Okoli. The little backheel turn in the second half was brilliant, Brighton struggled to get near him today. Hope we can keep him next season, he'll be untouchable in the Championship.

Been average lately, which is understandable as he’s young. But he’s class.

Think he tries to do too much on his own sometimes.

Interestingly, the noises I'd heard from some Genk fans were that he was a Modric type of player rather than a proper 10/goalscoring threat. I think they were talking about him getting loads of 'pre-assists' rather than the goal contributions. Wonder whether we might see him play a little deeper in the future, though his some of his final third play has definitely improved. Got a really good turn of pace now.

I'll take average for the rest of the season, stay under the radar. Could be pivotal for us next term.
