Again, I’m almost sorry to labour the point but Rudkin has more influence at Leicester than an academy director/head of development does in world football.

That he doesn’t actually use his influence for the academy’s benefit is just absolutely typical.

It should be written into managerial contracts that you have to give x% of minutes to academy products.

Looks like the Sky 6 really have got everything stitched up with everyone

else just making up the numbers, what’s the point?

Sorry, but in this instance, we only have ourselves to blame. Yes, the system isn't fit for purpose but if we can't bring players through with everything out our disposal then we deserve what we get.

I bet Jeremys parents and agent have always dreamed about him signing for Man City, and then the  subsequent loan after loan before his Carabao cup appearance in 5 years time!

Better than not getting a loan and then playing non-league football in 5 years if he stayed here

This is it, we are an absolute mess right now.

This reminds me of when wenger  wanted Hamza at Arsenal , at a similar age ( i know his dad ) . They offered stupid Money, a stupid signing on fee relocation and a house  for the whole family . Barcelona also wanted him believe it or not .

Hamza and his dad looked at the bigger picture and saw were his development was better off and for a while it was .

Iv never seen Monga play  but this just stinks of greed probably from his parents who are advising him if its true...If hes as good as people say he will get the big move in a few seasons like Jude B Did but prove hes got first surly . Man city could Ruin Him

Fair play, why on earth would he stay.

No plan. No pathway at all to the first team in any way whatsoever.

No recruitment plan apart from buying from whatever the same agents suggest. No strategy. Going nowhere at all.

Not to mention the most spoilt owner who has no idea and is running nearly all aspects of his father’s company into the ground. Nepotism at its finest.

complete disgrace, there is literally not one aspect of this club that is positive. If there was a positive, he is off to Man City and good on him. Deserves better.

One thing this isn't is 'fair play'.

If the vultures are allowed to pick the best talents from smaller clubs (again) for virtually nothing, then what is the point?

I don't care what he wants, he is our player and the rules need changing to stop this kind of daylight robbery.

To say he has no pathway is ridiculous.  You could almost list a full eleven of players that have come through the academy in recent years.

And they’ve seen what’s actually happened to Will and that a bad injury for a teenager can potentially ruin a promising career.  Take the money when it’s offered because you never know what’s around the corner

Man City’s teenagers get far more access to first team football via the club and loans than ours seem to. if he’s really as good as he appears to be then they won’t fear a loan at 16/17 or even pushing him into their squad.  And he’ll be playing with the cream of youth football talent.

This this and this. Whilst I'm very angry as my number one passion for Leicester is to see us have the best academy and player progression in the country, I can see why players would leave our academy for bigger clubs. We don't give them the one thing those clubs might not which is first team football as a number one priority. We need to learn from this last couple of years.

Another issue for our young players could be how often over the years we have been inclined to go and buy an ageing player. If I was an up and coming youngster and saw the team were in need of a winger, then I would hope they would give me a chance but would soon feel disheartened when they go and buy someone like Decordova Reid.

The move will do him no good, they will bash every bit of individuality out of him and turn him into a pass merchant.

If he had to leave us, if wish he'd agree to go to Barca or Dortmund as he'd a) retain that freedom and b) we'd keep him until 18 😂

I've said it on here before, but staying with us and playing Championship football (provided he's given the opportunity!) would be amazing for his career. If he smashes it at 16 his stock will be unbelievably high.

But if he's being offered 4/5 year deals on ~£40k/week he'd be stupid not to take it. Setup for life money regardless of how well things go on the pitch.

Staying with us would be a gamble unless the money we're paying is at least close to what the big boys are offering.

We must be near the bottom of minutes given to academy players this season, and I'd wager most of them came from playing Stolarczyk out of necessity.

What's the betting that Monga makes and appearance for Man City before Evans makes an appearance for us....
