Jeez, my post wasn't really meant to be an criticism of him in any way. It was more pointing out that its a sign of where we are that we desperate for a 15 year old to be involved.

I think it's one of the few blessings this club have that we have a 15 year old at Monga's level. It's strange to me that you seem to want to paint it as a negative.

In my opinion it was more of a sign of where we are as a club when we brought in 33 year old Jordan Ayew, 29 year old Reid and 24 year old Skipp to keep us in the PL. Recognising a young player's ability early on in his career and giving him opportunities at u21 and even senior level is something a progressive and well run club would do, these are the kind of decisions we need to be making if we want to become a respectable outfit again.

I know our standards are low at this point but he looked composed on the ball and was always looking to go forward, which is better than most in our team. I'd keep giving him the last 15 mins off the bench every week to ease him into senior football.

Hopefully now in the squad for the remaining 7 games. Looked confident, is evidently strong and hist first touch is not a a danger to society nor does he nutmeg himself so he's a major upgrade.

I cannot limit this to anyone player whose first touch is a danger to society and nutmegs themselves there’s just too many to chose from!

He’s gonna be an absolute star, shame he’s already done and dusted here. Now we just need Jake Evans to start up top instead of Vardy. We are down, we need to use this opportunity to see how many of the young ones can help us out next season.

May I point out that Jake Evans is a star in the making as a winger. We've played him up front as a striker just because we can but I'd be very surprised if he makes it to the top level as a centre forward over being a winger or a 10.

He should be picking up minutes each week now. Fans get to see a youngster who seems less fearful than other players, and we may bump up whatever fee we get. No brainer.

There was a moment where he turned and nearly got away from Livramento who got back and tackled him. That is one of the best fullbacks in the league too. So confident at just 15

This!

We have 7 nothing games now.

Get some senior appearances in for some of the youngsters, which should breed a bit of confidence going into next season.

He got a good reception given the circumstances. And a big ironic cheer when he finally got the ball played to him.

Only worry is he won’t stick around (which he won’t - people on here saying he’s already agreed to join Man City). Therefore I’d rather give Evans them minutes in all honesty.

20 minutes in every match to the end of the season is a pretty perfect idea. Gets him game time, shows him we are serious about his development and surely boosts his price if he leaves too.

Anyone expecting him to come on and provide miracles is desperate. The whole call for him to play is just desperation in my opinion. I hope he can remain a positive player in this environment.

are we not desperate 😳

Come on now it's the Easter Holidays surely he can play against Brighton and Liverpool :D

His parents have already booked him in for an egg hunt so he's not available.

We need to develop him. The consensus is he is ready, but as you can see today, PL (and well drilled ones) are a different prospect to anything he will get in PL2. He will need game time and this is the best way to do it.

He just over 2 years older than my son. Mental.

If we can, Monga as backup to Fatawu and Evans for Mavididi in the championship, with BEK and Alves in the mixer, should be more than enough to go up and have some hope for the future too

I only stayed in the hope that he’d come on. Looked sharp.

A park footballer would look sharp in that team ..

No but I agree in all seriousness

Agree it’s the perfect time.

7 games of competitive football against top class players.

Only problems could be, he gets the taste of it and wants out. He does well and clubs see what he can do. Offer him what we can’t. He goes.

He’ll be our striker next season

Great to see Monga get game time. As he got up to speed he started to see success against an outstanding full back in Livramento. It makes a mockery of the loaning of Alves. He should’ve stayed and be given significant game time alongside our creative players - Buonanotte, Mavididi, ELK and kids like Monga and Evans.
