Couldn’t care less about this - just a match where we run the risk of players getting injured - forfeit it or play our under 16

only importance is stopping up

I'm surprised with the people who can't be arsed with this. I think winning this trophy is realistic and gives us European football again.

We coukdn't even win the westerby cup nevermind this.

Should be giving it a good go. Any chance of winning a trophy should be taken seriously.

Tell that to the lot here who still thinks we're a Champions League team competiting for the PL title.

Probably a bit of an experiment of a side...

Justin Coady Okoli Thomas

Skipp Somare

Ayew El Khanouss BDR

Expecting Vards to be rested too.

Seeing that makes one realise how desperately bad our squad is

Hamza is injured for a while thank god.

Never want to see hom in a blue shirt again.

Too think Enzo gave him a new contract this time last year.

He is welcome to come in January with Chelsea dollar for him.

Ricardo will need another game to get mins, and give El Khanouss the full 90min, and give Coady a game, if Vesty is still out

We should play Coady anyway, If only for his leadership qualities in such a young team.

They're not much better than us though they have a lot of upside within their squad. I expect Ten Hag will want to win it to help his cause.

It would be nice if it went to penalties though.

Think Man Utd will put their handbrakes off for this one.

They'll be looking at this competition and the FA Cup to try and improve their current ordeal.

Gary Neville will be saying that "ManchestUnideFootballClub need to win these types of matches" and I hope they don't!

You just never know with cup competitions.

Stranger things have happened.

A game between two very unpopular managers with their fan bases. Two teams with poor form. Got cracking game written all over it.

0-0 walking football 0-1 on penalties.

If Ten Hag is sacked tonight 4-0 man utd

Lets hope Ten Hag is not sacked before the game. It might improve our odds of success.

Only 1 team outside the “big 7” have even been in the final since 2015( they lost btw)  … not a chance we win this

Villa - after we sh@t the bed against them in the semi despite the fact we had a massively superior team at the time.

This is a pointless reason and it’s wrong. Villa, Newcastle and Southampton have all played in the final since 2015. Are you counting Villa and Newcastle as “big 7”?

Why are you selecting a random date of 2015? If you go back three years prior to 2015, then Sunderland, Bradford and Cardiff all played in the final. Two of them football league clubs at the time. If you go back a year before that then Birmingham were in the final.

If you are judging a chance of win on history then what’s the point in playing football? We hadn’t won the league before we won it.

Generally agree with this .. good balance with Coady and Ayew re experience, give Ricky an hour for his fitness, not sure Hamza will be fit so Soumare slots in.

Also good to get Alves run out at some point.

Give Vardy, Mads and Facundo the night off.

They seem just as low on confidence as us, playing away could be an advantage here, as a slow start and the crowd will be on their backs.
