Gutted about Ten Haag, thought we had a chance as they would similarly play a weakened team, can't see that being the case now, RVN needs to go out and make a statement in his first match and that's unfortunately against us.

Well all the noise is man u are looking for a permanent replacement, so hopefully that will demotivate rvn.

I doubt it , they will beat us quite comfortably.

We'll thrash them with a display of Coopers baffleball, where nobody has a clue what they are doing. Repeat for PL game and the jobs yours Stevieboy. Now that's what I call a result.

Yes I think in all likelihood it's gone from a 2 - 0 defeat to a 4 - 0 defeat

I don't know. People expected us to get battered by Spurs, Villa and Arsenal. Didn't really happen in any of those games. Granted each missed plenty of chances, and our goalkeeper was on his game, but Man Utd aren't great at taking chances anyway. They are among the lowest scorers in the league.

I don't think we can go there and win but I think we can grind out a draw to take to penalties.

Arsenal gave us one of the biggest batterings I've ever seen in the PL!

Didn't they set a record for shots or shots on target!? It was brutal.

I meant by scoreline, hence my next sentence.

It won't be like that at Man Utd.

We’ve got Danny Ward in goal mate.

His record in the Caribou cup is exceptional.

And you could see us getting something out of the game before he was sacked?

That's why my genius game plan is to start with our strongest team, grind out a draw, bring Ward on late on and let him save all their penalties.

We are gonna play Danny Ward, Luke Thomas BdcR and Édouardo. I would suggest all four would fall into the lowest of low percentiles of PL ability.

Imagine if we still won 😅

Dammit.

That's what football and support is about.

Down after a defeat but the next game comes and you're positive.

Then down again.

Winning every game doesn't throw up the emotions like we get :D

If I've learned anything, we should start this one with a strong team if we're not interested in winning.

Start the likes of BDR, Soumare, Ayew, Eduoard against Ipswich so we can bring on the good players for the last 20.

I think our best hope is taking it to Penalties.

However I don't see Ward performing like Mads for 90 minutes to get to Penalties.

It seems whoever we play in defence has mistakes in them.

                     Ward

Ricardo   Coady  Okoli  Thomas

               Skipp   Soumare

 Bilal                Ayew            McAteer

                       Edouard

Painful but need to keep best players ready for massive game v Ipswich.

I'd honestly rest anyone who played Saturday and just basically play our under 23s against these.

Undoubtedly we'll see the annual outrage that a cup competition is being written off by fans. Issue is you're spot on, complete distraction to the main focus this year.

Rotate heavily, can hope we fluke through, main priority is avoid any injuries to key starters and onto the main course of Ipswich.

Literally if we play Vardy, Mavididi and Fatawu and 2 of 3 get an injury whether it's short or long term we're completely screwed. Imagine Vardy gets a long term injury and we have to rotate Edouard and Ayew up front for the majority of the season.
