I am convinced that most of the players have about as much faith in Cooper as most of us on here do.

I can't think of one positive impact he has made on the club since his arrival. Not one.

He was an uninspiring appointment from day one and he has done nothing to change that view of him - quite the opposite in fact.

It's now time for the board to own up and admit they got it spectacularly wrong. Before things get worse, which all the evidence so far suggests they inevitably will.

We never had much chance tonight after they sacked ETH and whatever hopes we did have were extinguished when the teams were announced. But bloody hell - if there was any semblance of coherence in the way Cooper is coaching our defence, surely it would have been at least partially visible, even with a makeshift back four. But no: it was an absolute chaotic mess, as in previous games. He’s a defensive-minded coach with zero ability to coach a defence. Not a good combination.

Don't really know what the point of that was, and our participation in the competition.

In stark contrast to Brentford who fielded a strong team and are after some silverware. If we really aren't bothered about it, then don't even risk first team sub's. My preference would be to play our strongest team, but if not, we may as well play kids.

A battering just does the club no favours. Just adds to the downward spiral. So, if we aren't bothered, let's not try and hang in there with a halfway house team, just go kids.

Could we have just not turned up, and taken a default 3-1 or whatever it is? I'd have preferred that.

Genuinely feeling detached from the club at the moment, when we lost Friday against Forest I didn't care had no impact on my weekend I was just glad football was done, lost tonight I just really don't care. I felt like under Enzo I was getting the buzz back and he left and very quickly it went.

I didn't see the game, but my reaction to tonight is just a shrug.  Who cares.  I know the Cooper out movement is a runaway train and I've got a first class ticket, but no point getting upset about tonight.  No manager in the world takes that XI to Old Trafford and wins.  Write it off.

Bizarrely there was a lot to like about the game considering it was a crap lineup against that level of opposition. As always we gifted them a good share of the goals and kept getting beat in possession high up the field leaving us exposed. But in-between that we played quite well at times.

But, a little like when we (ironically) lost to Forest under Rodgers, It's these games that actually indicate where you are. When the manager rotates and things are weaker, you get to see what the squad is made of.

You take a plucky 3-0 loss with a changed team if it looks like there is effort, buy in, and a plan.

That was a complete mess. From start to finish. He has no control over anything. Man U weren't even any good.

Why play JJ again! He's not far away from an injury and doesnt need game time - he needs a break. Why Ward? There is nothing to prove there. At least Iversen has potential sale value if we can get him in the shop window? Why play Okoli. He's been ok but struggled last few games. Why throw him into the lions Den in a game like this - give him a break.

Why play no actual striker? Why not start Vesty, who was one of the stand out players last season who now needs game time.

Whats the system? Whats the shape. Noone knows. Is this even Football im watching?

This showed that he's not got a clue. Any management would identify quickly there are serious issues, and we are now leaking a large number of goals.

Be gone Cooper. For everyones sake.

I agree it’s like when Forest hammered us …but I care less now

By all account a knee jerk Appointment because of the pending points deduction that allegedly no one would take up the role apart from this loser but then in which some superb Lawyer pi55ed on the Premier League & we could have had someone much better !!

Good point, the 1-0 at Bournemouth last season was a good insight too.

Absolute rubbish. I don’t see the point in our starting line up, Ayew is barely a forward never mind a lone striker, we never looked a threat. I can accept that we weren’t bothered about progressing and the league being the priority, so why not play players from the off that could have done with the minutes, like Edouard, or give the likes of Alves a full 90 minutes. It was atypical cooper, indecisive bollocks. The likes of Soumare, Ward and Thomas should not be getting game time.

The score line flatters a bang average united side. they didn’t have to work for it, at all.

Lose at the weekend and he has to go. I don't think the board will have much choice if we lose.

I hope you are right

dont think the hierarchy have the minerals to pull the trigger though sadly
