You can tell that 99% of the scroats on this board, don't go to the game.

I bet the 3000 fans who went Ipswich today are absolutely buzzing.   Crucial late goal against a key rival.   I bet they were singing in the stands and as they poured out into the street.

This board?   mostly full of 100's of miserable, negative messages.

loved it at the end today…. Had a blast with my son and cousin bouncing around in the stand!

Sack the board !!!!

A one mentioned to him that Phillips should have walked in the first half for the elbow to Buonanotte’s head well after the ball had gone.

Yes .. He should have walked after that cheap shot. It was a very dangerous challenge. !!

Ipswich fans moaning about var and the penalty they should have had. Fair enough as it probably was a penalty but if Phillips was sent off in the first half like he should have been, then it would have been a totally different game and we'd most likely have won. If anyone has a gripe with the officiating today, it should be us.

Certainly was a stray elbow.

The 2nd booking might have been harsh but as they said on MOTD ref gets one look...

Probably was a penalty but I don't know if Chaplin has a bad reputation or not - sometimes find players who do don't get penalties like that.

Will take it, much needed and really important to keep them winless and down there.

Realistically, outside Mads and Buonatte we have zero quality in this squad.

The wingers today were woeful, both full backs were really poor and I don’t know if anyone comes out of that with any credit other than Soumare who was excellent when he came on and Ayew.

We have "quality" in the squad. We had more when we went down - Madders, KDH & Harvey B. in particular. Shit manager then, shit manager now. Mads, Fatawu, Wilf, Buonanotte, Faes, Winks, Vards - all capable of excellent play. Now, hopefully, two years late, Soumare has finally (apparently) adjusted to life at City. Ayew is turning out to be valuable as well.

It's not bad players, it's the way they're asked to perform and when they're subbed. The Prem is replete with excellent players, otherwise it wouldn't be the Prem. Trouble is, it's got its fair share of mediocre managers. Defeats logic how poor managers even get into the Prem. Maybe our 'board' are just risk averse, but end up taking bigger risks by their choice of managers. I'm always going to maintain that we won the Cup in spite of Rodgers. If Soumare can keep up his performances then we might have found the key to avoiding relegation - but only if Cooperman allows him the opportunity.

Well 1st 15 minutes we looked like Manchester city the following 30 minutes we looked like a Sunday 5 division side . Again we spent so much time passing side ways and backwards that Ipswich wher able to come on to us . Vesty has got to go he gives we a heart attack, he is either very lazy or just so casual. If Phillips hadn’t been sent we lose that game , we can’t put 5-6 passes together going forward , the manager needs to go NOW the team has no direction at all

A point was the minimum we deserved out of this game.

We scored a really good goal and better than Ipswich in every statistic apart from the score.

Is it me or is paper over the cracks becoming the key phrase on FT?
We have played 10 games

We have 10 points

There is enough to suggest a point a game might be our average ppg

That gives us 38 points if we continue

What was our expectation at the start

I would suggest with what we have we are doing ok.

Oh and Jordan Ayew is doing fine

Ipswich were always going to struggle in this league based on the amount of goals they conceded last season. No team has been promoted in the last 10 seasons conceding as many goals as them.

I thought it was a pen, or more to the point, you see them given. It was over zealous, but ultimately just a shoulder barge. I fully expected the ref to blow, but I wouldn’t say it was stone wall either. Just more often than not you get them in the attacking teams favour

Phillips should have walked in the first half, which would have completely changed the completion of the game at that point. Cowards challenge and 100% should have been a red. VAR should have got involved, but then it was Stuart Atwell watching and he’s as incompetent as they come

I think both teams can point at the ref about key moments

To reiterate what most have said, good first 15. Horrific then until Phillips eventually red. I’d love to know what we work at on the training ground because what kind of a performance was that? I saw Ricardo invert for 15 minutes, then it seemed to just be long ball clear your lines nonsense and we lost all momentum. Our wingers are so isolated, in fact all over the pitch our players don’t get near enough to each other when we’re in possession. It’s all so disjointed and frustrating to watch.

Lovely goal, the touch from Vards was delicious

Belongs in the bin along with:

There's a player in there somewhere

and

Championship level at best

and definitely the infantile Blooper/Pooper etc

You clearly didn't watch the match. We were awful and Ipswich were the better team until the red card. The statistics are skewed due to the last 10 mins when we were on top, not a reflection of the whole game. We got out of jail yesterday and need to improve.

luckless Ipswich - must have had his eyes shut over the course of last season

With the constant luck and fortunate officiating they got last year, they can be forgiven for thinking that's how the football gods were always going to be. Phillips should have been sent off on the first foul, and the Fatawu challenge was a 50/50 body check that is the referee's call. Really nothing to be complaining about.

Anyone using the last ten games as a projection for performance across the season is not acknowledging that we’ve played four of the five below us. The quality of the opposition increases now.

Quite. Let's see if we're still on target for a point a match by the end of December.
