First time I've felt disinterested watching the game yesterday, before I would watch the games and the family would know that I don't want any distractions.

Yesterday I was watching the match while I was doing other things, just looking up on the screen now and again. I'm finding us boring and I'm not excited as I used to be.

Does anybody else feel the same?

Don't get me wrong I still watch all the games but I don't feel the same as I used to.

Plus as anyone noticed that less people are posting here than they used to, is there a coincidence.

Pretty much felt like like that since the 90's.:D  Its modern football, especially in england, total disconnect between most fans and 'their' club....

We couldn't invest to the level required to maintain a top 6 position. That's the reality of FFP. We tried to buy the young, well touted prospects that looked good signings at the time, like Daka and Soumare and they just didn't work out. If we'd sold players like Tielemans straight after the FA Cup win like we should have done in hindsight, the owners would have been slated then for lacking ambition and selling our best players.

We are back to a level now where we have been many times historically. Fans do have to accept that and try to move on from the probably once in a lifetime highs we have experienced recently.

The constant negativity on places like this won't help people's outlook on the game.

Better not discuss it then. Just accept that we had a good thing and now we don’t.

I've heard this so many times and honestly I completely disagree with it. It's not a base of being spoilt and not appreciating what we had - I think most fans agree that the last 10 years have been amazing - it's more to do with the fact that we had that platform, we had the opportunity to really kick on and cement our place in the top 10 or top 6 - regularly competing for the European spots, Going far in the cups etc. For me the start of the decline was the failure of getting that last champions league spot and the recruitment thereafter, spending silly money on quite frankly mediocre players (albeit a couple of decent ones). The attitude of "oh I'm here now" and not striving to keep improving. The relegation season of "oh don't worry we will be fine, our squad is too good to go down etc etc" - this is what really pisses me off - we had the opportunity but we flushed it away. Now to get back there is going to take years if not decades. It's the ownership taking their finger off the pulse. In any sport, in any business, if you are not driving forward or forever looking to improve then you will fail. It's not "normality" - going back to where we were 2 decades ago isn't "normal"

So yeah it's not about being spoilt, it's about the lost opportunity.

I’m not saying that in the general mood of the fanbase, I’m saying not many would not swap their last decade with us, that’s not necessarily excusing the missed opportunity but we’re basically back to where we’ve been historically and after a rollercoaster run it’s quite the come down

I have also started to give up. its really starting to bore me, i know we are in a relegation battle and I will always support them but its like the fun has been taken out of it all now

Went to the first 5 home games of the season and took my 7 year old with me, he has now got bored very quickly of LCFC and as his mother and her family support the red florist scum and they are doing well and they have managed to brainwash him into supporting them now and it doesn't look like i will be going to a home game as long as cooper is still here tbh, it bores me, he bores me, the club is boring me

get him gone and not even sure if I want the owners to do one also, its borderline

i know a lot of you will say this a knee jerk reaction but we need a bit of a reset, I thought we were gonna get that with Maresca and being Champions, but as soon as someone richer came sniffing he soon did one...

now we have the complete opposite of him as the manager which is a huge step backwards, we will be very lucky if we survive and dont get relegated, but surely somewhere out there in the footballing world there is a better modern more astute manager than chromosome boy who wants to come in and get us out the sh!t, but maybe thats the whole problem , no-one wants to touch us with a barge pole ??

its like when you were younger asking your mum for a pair of Nike's but she came back with Hi-Techs

There are places you can go to get support for this kind of brain washing. Also have you thought about alerting the authorities?

Its easy to pile on, but you can't help the way you feel.

Was out for a walk with the family on Sunday afternoon - shrugged when the goal went in: disappointed, but not surprised. Driving back with the radio on low, heard a bit of excitement signalling 2-0 and switched it off. Checked on my phone midway through the 2nd half and then at full time.

Then, at 6, switched on the 49ers game. Went through all the emotions, from punching the air being up early, to being really p*ssed off at the fumbled punt that let Tampa back into the game, to head in hands at missed field goals, then not being able to watch Tampa's final drive, to then the elation when they pulled it out the bag in the last minute.

Maybe its just that Leicester are struggling at the bottom while the 49ers have title aspirations, but it does feel more than that: I still have the same passion for watching sport: but I just can't seem to get invested in City this season.

If Cooper was a trainer he would be Dunlop green stripe.

Felt like this for several years now, I think it started during the Rodger’s era mainly when it started to go downhill.

Used to miss 1 or 2 matches home and away all season, using pretty much all my annual leave on midweek matches.
But now I only keep my season ticket so I can go now and again and see the lads, I try to make one match a month.

The Mrs says to me to give my season ticket up and buy match day tickets now and again but there’s no way I’m paying for a membership to get access to £60 tickets, I know I’d never go.

Question is what is down to "modern life", what is down football in general and what is specific to LCFC.

I am guessing if you are a Brighton, Brentford or Forest fan right now, life is mint. However, there are definitely broader issues, ticket management, match day vibe, etc. that have a general impact.

Just pleased to have lived through what will be regarded as the clubs golden era. How many fans get to see their club win the premierleague or FA Cup. Win promotion.

We've been absolutely spoilt.

Seems we are back to baseline which is no bad thing. Division 1 wasn't that long ago good to be back in the prem. Just enjoy it for what it is.

I'm struggling to watch the games these days & have found myself flipping channels to watch a different game. I've followed Leicester for sixty plus years & never experienced this feeling quite so badly before.

When I was at school I was fortunate that my parents bought me Adidas trainers to wear :)

But unfortunate that my mum cut my hair to save on the barber’s cost :(

The problem with not being arsed if we lose, also means you take less joy in a win.

This is why we get people leaving the ground early even when we're cruising or if the game is in the balance.

I'm just frustrated that I care as much, despite how stale it's all become for the whole of matchday (minus the beers)
