What situations make Leicester perform better ?

Away from home at a team we should probably beat. We're behind, but the opposition have just been denied a clear penalty and had a man sent off. This is when we show what we're about :schmike:

It used to be a siege mentality, we were at our best when were up against it, both on and off the pitch, but the way the modern game has gone, tepid and nicey nicey, along with our fanbase going the same way, merrily happy clapping along, that's long gone.

 

Now? I'm not sure, nothing it seems.

This lot have little fight as there is little hunger, few characters and virtually no leadership.  They seem rarely stirred to truly give 100%. 

 

How many are really pushing themselves to be top 5 or champion league quality? 

 

The only one is Madds

The best circumstances have been when despite the players available, there's been a manager who the team believe in. We haven't had that with Rodgers or Cooper. Whatever Maresca's foibles were when he was here, at least the players appeared to believe in what he was trying to do. They can sniff out an imposter or liar.

Appreciate i've just said about no siege mentality, however, whilst you may see little fight and hunger, I see more this season than I have in the last few seasons, certainly the relegation season and the one before that. Even last season when the going got tough the fight was questionable but as I alluded to in my above post that's just a by-product and how the modern game comes across, to me.

 

That relegation team and the season before that had top 5 or CL quality players - but they had little fight, hunger and desire.

 

This team simply doesn't have top 5 or CL quality, people need to realise that but the fact we're scoring last minute goals suggests there is fight.

The last minute goals were against 10 men on both occasions - I don't think they'd have been forthcoming without 

 

I admire your positivity though and hope you're right. 

 

I'm just a miserable old git at the moment as I can see Cooper destroying the club much like Taylor, Pleat, McClintock etc have done in the past.

I mean it speaks volumes when I come across as positive! lol
