I know he got a good pay day but ffs time and no work  is not going to do him favour's.

Depends what we wants out of life now. If rumours are true and he wanted the England job, then that is semi retirement anyway. I presume now that a high pressure day to day managerial role probably isn't top of his list.

I don't see RVN being here long (either he spectacularly fails, or does well and a bigger club comes for him), and when the next names are put forward I hope that Potters name isn't mentioned anymore. Would rather have someone who actually wants to work for a living.

How strange was it by the FA to not even give him an interview by the way? Considering they come out and said they interviewed 3 English candidates too. Means they must have been speaking to Lampard and Gerrard instead?

I agree though, in terms of his reputation he really needed to bounce back quite quickly. The package he got when leaving Chelsea was probably the best in managerial history but it might be at the cost of his career at a good level now.

12 years ago today Vardy got his 12 consecutive goals.....

And who did he beat.....

If they don't announce Ruud today, along the lines of he's come to get his record back I'll be so upset 🤣

Pretty sure it was 9 years ago and 11 goals or did I miss him getting another record 👀

I suspect we'd have to increase his salary above what Chelsea are paying him and the upheaval of moving the family too.

It's not often half decent coaches are out for a long time so I suspect he's spending alot of quality time with his kids after the Chelsea circus.

11 games in a row, scored a total of 12 I believe. That was when the Crazy Stat Time thread took off with all sorts of impressive records not just "most shots conceded in a game" or "First time for X years we haven't had any academy kids on the bench"

Interesting if true, would’ve been my first choice, but fully behind Ruud.

Not a very helpful headline, doesn't say if we rejected him, him us etc

My biggest gripe on FT these days is posters linking FosseHub instead of the actual article/tweet, even if the source is the Daily Mail

Tbf to them, sometimes they've quoted bits of the article you'd otherwise not get
