This doesn't exactly make the players look good either.

It's kind of an admittance that they weren't even trying yesterday. Which isn't exactly going to make anyone else want to take on this poisoned chalice.

Guessing winks had speedy boarding?

It'd be disappointing of him if he faked an injury yesterday and then quite immediately leaving for the airport..

Not necessarily?

Not sure flying out to another country for a night out should really be priority if you've just suffered an injury, could easily of made it worse.

So you would think it isn't that bad if he / the club allow him to go

God forbid players do anything in their free time.

Don’t be naive mate. We all know the spotlight on prem players, they have a responsibility to respond in accordance with their results. How many of us have had sleepless nights due to poor results at work? These guys obviously feel they can do whatever they want. Where is the professional who reflects on his game and works harder to pull themselves out of this… obviously nowhere, they just bugger off to Copenhagen to get smashed and undermine the manager. Actually it makes me pretty bloody livid.

They've forced Cooper out, haven't they? It was obvious they weren't having him.

It looks unprofessional and a bit unpleasant, but it does suggest that they're a tight unit who could do well under a manager they believe in.

Given our fans had given up on Cooper - can you blame the players who’ve had to put up with him daily, not just on match days voicing their displeasure when asked?

The club should have been able to come to this decision without the players input anyway - it was clear things weren’t working out and it wasn’t going to change.

Not really the issue though is it. If it's a planned Christmas party, fine. But the sign is indicative of a lack of respect in the circumstances, whether they knew Cooper was getting sacked or not.

Respect is a two way street, it has to be earned as well. And if you're a new coach coming in and bench half the squad for no reason, that's gonna be a hard sell.

Some comments in this thread are wild.

A team having their Christmas piss up shouldn't be a shock.

The Enzo comments shock a lack of respect towards Cooper but is anyone surprised?

Glad to see there's still a team bond there. Even if it's on the piss and not on the pitch.

To play devil's advocate here, it could have been booked ages ago and arranged way before the news of sacking or even the Chelsea game. Bad planning if so, but they haven't gone to celebrate him getting sacked, that could just be coincidence, which doesn't look good.

The sign, a little too far, if I'm honest.

Not everyone can play in a squad. That's the nature of it. How do you know it was 'no reason'. Clearly Winks played as well. Just not professional. A new coach will be impressed. 🙄

Firstly, chill..it ain't that deep.

Secondly, this isn't anything new. Footballers and specifically Leicester players have a Christmas piss up every season. A break away together could help rejuvenate the squad. I can speak for myself, when I'm worried about work, the last thing I want to do is carry on working out of hours. I take a break away and figure things out.

Obviously a Christmas party but I don’t think the sign happens without them having a hunch Cooper was going. If stories are to be believed that a senior player had a word with the owner post-match, I imagine they might have left that discussion with an idea of what was going to happen next and shared that with the rest of the team.

They’ll probably have woken up today and regretted the sign a little but if that’s the biggest controversy or regret that comes out of a Christmas party then we’re doing alright.

A new coach might be fairly pleased to see that despite having a shite manager the group still seems close

Do you put up signs that undermine your boss, though, in public?

Looking forward to the squad setting fire to an effigy of Graham Potter’s face stuck to Harry Potter’s body when they get him the sack.

We have no context of the sign tho. Was it a running joke that Cooper might have even been party to? Was it simply a silly photo moment they sent off to KDH as a joke to take the piss out of him being teachers pit
