Can't stop looking at pictures and videos of him.

It feels pretty cool to have a genuine icon/legend of the game as our manager.

I'm feeling slightly smug/proud in a weird way.

Hoping there's a Maresca type compensation clause in his contract in case he proves to be successful. That £10m came in handy.

It's only 2 and half year contract, is that the usual now ?

I think Darren Fletcher will come in, in some capacity, hopefully the technical director Ruud has requested.

Other delays likely mean more Dutch coaches who need Visas like ruud.

Rene Meulensteen I reckon.

Pretty sure we gave Enzo and Cooper 3 year contracts.

This is 2 and a half as we are half way though the season.

Please tell me it isn't gonna be "Ruud Van Nistelrooy's Leicester" like "Wayne Rooney's Plymouth" and "Lampard's Coventry"

Of course it will be, they can't help themselves.

Wait until we launch that Autumn / Winter Knitwear range.

Van Knittlerooy a collection of pullovers and roll necks inspired by Ruud and Dutch culture.

I think we need a group buy on some royal blue turtle necks - would be awesome to see loads of those on show at home games!

Please don't be Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard etc.

I love RVN he's a PL legend, but this signing could potentially end in a disaster.

Van Nistelrooy called up Maresca for City advice

Van Nistelrooy and Maresca were team-mates at Malaga just over a decade ago and the Dutchman called his old friend up for a chat about life at City. It seems to have sold it to him.

“I have to say, when the interest came, the first one I called was Enzo. He was so positive about it. He absolutely loved his time. When you hear these things, it’s a club you want to be a part of. Obviously, with the interest coming, I phoned him and I asked him more detailed questions about the club, the structures, the people that work there, the squad, the stadium, the fans, the town, the surroundings… it was a fantastic conversation. It’s always a pleasure to talk to him.”

He obviously didn’t ask him why Enzo left.

Tbf mate, Cooper didn't do a bad job. We were competitive every game. Now that said for me he had to go because the fans didn't take to him and the players clearly stopped at man u in the cup. If he had the season we would have gone down. I hope they respect van nistelrooy. This seasons the most important in the last 20 years. We go down it's pike the old days. We stay up and I believe with signings there's another fairytale with the conference league

he did a shit job and we managed 12 shots on target (including the penalty last weekend) in 6 home games. hardly enjoyable to watch.
