Looked well out of his depth today. Like a statue on the touchline. Needs to wise up sharpish or we're well and truly fckd. Rooney in the same boat at Plymouth but as soon as he got Phelan is as a Coach they turn in a team performance. Our players  are so individual it's embarrassing.

This is one of the most baffling things to me, getting rid of Cooper but keeping the coaching staff he was working with? That surely does nothing but hinder the new manager rather than help, which is clearly what he, and we, need. 
 

You can only assume it’s financial in terms of why he hasn’t gone and got his own people. We need some experience behind him is my instant thought, not Ben Dawson who exhibited his absolute tactical ineptitude against Brentford. Seeing him in RVNs ear for large parts doesn’t transmit confidence and positivity that we’re going in any different direction than through the ever looming trap door.

RVN must accept the cards he’s been dealt. It’s not like he didn’t know what he was walking into after a poor United team humbled us twice in as many days. My enthusiasm after the first couple of results has evaporated. His defence of Ward is somewhat understandable because what else could he say, but selecting him in the first place was a rancid call. That was inexcusable.

It should be quite simple for Ruud and his Assistant Manager/Goaly Coach. If they play Ward and the opposition have shots on target then this team will lose. There’s a very simple solution to this that apparently they can’t quite grasp.

The clues were there at Man U. He rinsed that starting xi. League cup. Europa and two PL games.. No changes. He wanted his wins for his own ****ing CV/ego. 

 

Didn't want him prior to his appointment. Didn't want him upon his appointment. No trusted coaching team wanna work with him. I don't want him now after three quite abysmal team selctions and performances..

Faes gets absolute pelters on here but he is a million, billion miles ahead of Coady. Justin is just a bomb scare that might be best served retiring and Vestegaard is Vestegaard.. 🤷🏼‍♂️

RVN fell out with his staff, players and owners at PSV. 

At ManU he used ManU's staff. Maybe he doesn't know anyone 🤷🏼

We had Iversen sat on the bench. He's not great but he's better than Ward.

 

I'm not a fan of any of our defenders but he is picking the slowest two we have.

 

That's before I start on the two full backs who are probably the worse in the league. Perhaps change formation? 

 

Also has our best, and most creative player, sat on the bench for two weeks running.

Made himself look really silly today. Any manager that did genuine research on this squad, would not entertain Danny Ward after our relegation season. Persisting with JJ has to stop also, finally taking him off for Hamza says it all. Desperate.

People think he'll be backed in January with bringing players in.  

 

They can't even back him bringing in any staff.

 

It seemed to drag on for far longer than it should when appointing him, if that was because it was a case of sorting his backroom staff then so be it, you'd kind of understand it, but it seems that wasn't the case.

 

Someone mused the other day that it may be a case of waiting for work permits, if that's the case and they're confident of obtaining the work permits announce it, the Southampton managers been announced subject to a work permit, i'm sure one of Enzo's staff was announced subject to a work permit, so it's not as if clubs don't do such things.

He's famous, he's available, he's free and he just had a good 2 weeks at Man Utd when they couldn't get worse.  Now he's here hopefully it works out, he might have great contacts for players to sign, but it doesn't seem like it was a particularly deeply thought out hire.
