It's obvious we need to strengthen, but we won't be signing the 6-7 first team players who will change our fortunes in January, we will be lucky to get 3 permanent signings and a loan deal whilst sending back Edouard IMO.
Ultimately, Ruud is going to have to improve what we have as well as signing a few players.
There is no point signing 3-4 quality signings on premier league wages if players are getting worse. A couple of players have improved, most have been just as bad if not worse.

3-4 first team starters and Hermansen returning would be enough to keep us up I reckon.

Unfortunately, if we want to enjoy our football club, he’s no choice but to keep us up. If we go down, I genuinely believe we will sink to the depths that the likes of Bolton and Pompey did.

There’s future of this club it potentially looking very, very dark.

-10 points and we still make the playoffs. The gap is massive and only Mads and maybe Winks would attract offers.

On the plus side that's many of this squads level.

Unfortunately (Or fortunately!) by the time we get there all their contracts will have expired.

With the likely points deduction and transfer embargo the EFL will give us, will we even have a squad to put out next season?

What's with the random subsisting Okoli on despite the fact we're losing? Done it a couple of times now.

When we're chasing the game, we go from a mid-block to a higher line so we need pacier central defenders to play like this.

As said, we will likely have a transfer embargo too.

Can only think he is looking for more pace at the back to protect us when things open up (due to use chasing the game)

EFL would be doing us a favour!

I really hope so, if we can replace the back 4 we have a chance, but I'm just hoping our lack of attacking freedom is because of our defensive frailties. Ultimately everyone needs to improve 10%

Nothing on his CV suggested he was what we needed in our current situation.

We're essentially letting a novice cut his teeth at top level football at a time when the circumstances mean we probably needed an experienced, gritty bastard who'd do anything it takes, and play any way necessary to get the job done for us.

Unfortunately many on here, and clearly in our boardroom, spent a lot of time instead being all snooty and snobby about that prospect, instead fawning over a name. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

He might come good, the window might lead to inspired signings and we saunter to survival and god knows I want him to because we desperately, desperately need it.

Exactly

please everyone look at the bigger picture ( it ain’t only about this season ) even thou I believe the writing is on the wall , it’s the season after , as we all know usually the team that goes down comes back up the following year , however if u get a points deduction/ lose ur half decent players it’ll be even harder .

If we go down, we will go down again.

we've been in games more with a worse squad than Cooper had available to him, with Mads out for a sustained spell under Cooper and we'd have had this sort of run because we're a top class keeper away from being a championship team. There's signs of a tactical plan but it needs to happen faster. Windows open now, 11 days until the next league game, Top and co need to open the checkbook and let him fix the deficiencies Cooper ignored (the full backs)

Bettcha he won’t

we won’t attract the players we need

Is it that RVN is not so great a manager or is it more his limited resources?

This will be as remarkable as 2014-15 if he pulls it off.

Because we were going to push up very high so needed more pace at the back

he won't because he doesn't give a shit, just a little nepo baby coasting off his dad's legacy while running it into the ground, but that's the position we're in. Cooper and Rudkin wasted the summer getting in a 5th choice centre midfielder for big money while our RB options were a bloke who has an injury in him at all times (much as I love Ricky, he makes Darren Anderton look robust) and a bloke who hasn't been it for 4 years now

What irks me, is there’s still no evidence moaning term project. The employment of cooper has literally killed us, his recruitment was ****ing insane, and it’s set us off track massively. Instead of signing shit like Ayew and BDR we should have been signing young players with the ability to improve. Look at both Fulham and Bournemouth, they went down with good young teams, and bounced back because of the project they were building. Something Burnley are now trying to do. With us there’s nothing but leaping from one horror show to another. If (and it is still and if) we go, Ruud will clear off, we will end up in a mess in terms of embargo’s and points deductions, and will probably try and get Neil Warnock to come and manage us.

The club is the ****ing pits from top down. Sort the ****ing club out Top, get some actual football people around you. Health dependant is be on the phone to Pearson and offering him a consultancy role within the club, we needs ripping apart and starting again. It’s ****ing criminal.

CRIMINAL , FINALLY SOMEONE SEES IT ,WELL SAID PLISKIN

We've massively improved and he has less recource than Cooper, the only thing that bothered me today in Ruuds tactics was taking so long to make changes

Top if had some brains could bring in Steve Walsh who's doing good with Charlotte FC who are currently 5th in the MLS

Who fits that bill, though, who would be willing to take over? This job is not appealing at all.
