What is refreshing is for the next week or so the posters who made Cooper out as a superior coach will be quieter.

That surely was our biggest scalp of the season in terms of “teams we wouldn’t expect to beat”, I know they had their injury problems etc but a professional performance and loved the dark arts shown.

We can but hope!

I like the fact he challenges our players and sounds like he is straight to the point.

Don’t want to generalise a nation, but I had a Dutch boss once and it was certainly like this. Do something bad and you got a bollocking. Do something good and you also knew about it… as you didn’t get a bollocking!

I've found the dutch one of the hardest nationalities to work with. If things go well, they absolutely love you and they like to celebrate (boy do they). If somethings not right, that voice goes deep and you get a stern bollocking.

If they argue amongst themselves, and you offer an opinion that seems to take sides, they both can give you a bollocking together.

One thing for sure is they love to talk and they want their opinion heard.

So according to the athletic, it was Facundo who was challenged for wearing the wrong boots, not Okoli

In all fairness, he did slip a lot in the game against Fulham- I remember commenting on it afterwards

Worked for a German chef when I was teenager, you did something wrong, you got a bollocking, you did something good, you got a bollocking. Needless to say, when I quit, she was asking why as I'd been one of the best assistants in the kitchen she'd had. I didn't go back

I love that he did this in Spanish, most of the squad wouldn't have had a clue what was being said, so kind of private but also Facundo certainly would have understood clearly. It makes sense the individual that leaked it clearly got this wrong.

I like the fact he challenges our players and sounds like he is straight to the point. I'm not fully there with Ruud and his selections but real authority seemed to be lacking in recent years, so more for it.

This group needs an authoritative figure.

I hope he can be authoritative upwards too and get the same level of respect and clarity.

Think I've been pretty clear I don't ike the guy. The Dutch in general have a very high opinion of themselves,.let alone a successful one.

However,. I'll be delighted if this overinflated ego actually demands ultra high standards.

I admit I enjoyed his little sgt major bark yesterday when the sub wasn't ready within three milliseconds of the order.

I mean - wow. I said i found them quite difficult to work with in the past but you've taken it to some level there.

I'm surprised though Coulibaly wasn't ready earlier.

But perhaps it's all part of the evil time wasting plan!

You don’t like him because he’s Dutch?!

So it was "Esas Botas Studos Wrongos, Slippety Dippitty Doosos" shouted in a slow patronising one Syllable at a time way (or is that just how the English speak Spanish) :dunno:

I can't read the article, however the proof will be following up a win against a tactically poor Spurs side and beat an organised Everton one.

2 wins on the bounce will give the whole club a lift.

We still need signings in as well to freshen it up.

What impressed me was his 'whip' gesture when Bilal was through on goal, it shows he had been coaching him to do that and Bilal proved it worked.

He was never my first pick, but I do want him to succeed here as there are elements I like about him.

We will see if we feel like this after the Everton game, and he's not a Rooney equivalent
