He should have walked on the night the transfer window closed. He is only blotting his copybook for any potential managerial career ahead at the moment. That vs 2 resignations, I think people would see he’s had no support from the board and had sympathy at that point in time.

Whether he has anything about him anyway I’m not convinced, he fields the same anonymous performers game after game and wonders why nothing happens out there.

Waiting on the club statement and corner flag picture. Surely some point over the weekend? If not then I can see Ruud being here until the end of the season. Cause unfortunately I can't see Top sacking him and admitting his managerial pick was a failure.

Well there is. You’re confusing a fact with an opinion. Vesty, JJ, Ricardo, Faes, Coady, Winks, Skipp, Ndidi, Ayew, BDCR, Vardy, Daka have all made plenty of games in the Prem as stated. Point being this isn’t some wet behind the ears bunch of kids, these are experienced Prem players that Ruud is getting nothing from.

No I’m not.

Either they’ve never had a decent season in the top flight or age has deteriorated their ability to perform in the Prem.

RVN has PL experience, doesn’t mean he’d be able to give a good 90 minutes every week. No manager would get a tune out of him.

Not a hope in hell is the squad Premier League standard. That was clear the second Chelsea. bought the only decent player and Cooper spunked his cash on geriatrics.

RVN was a very poor choice, he’s not got what it takes - but no one would get a tune from this squad. Both things can be true.

He’s actually clueless thought at the time when we signed him we had a manager on our hands but he’s so far out his depth it’s actually sad! Hate to say it but we need dyche  to sort this squad out! The player s s don’t give a ****! you saw it last night

These group of players are the pits.

Ruud’s post match comments show he knows this and we have as much chance of survival as getting kicked by a snake.

Ruud tho has also massively failed, sticking rigidly to the same formation and mostly the same players.

Not much to look forward to for the rest of the season - just more of the same.

Emery was never coming here. He wanted money to spend.

Very true, and I suspect that our hierarchy would have out right lied to him about backing him, just as they did with Rodgers pre relegation season, Enzo pre January last season, and RVN pre this January. Emery would then have walked, but probably done enough to keep us up in the short time he would have been here.  So we would still have had a mountain of problems in fairness, and maybe just delayed the inevitable.

RvN was a risk. We all knew that but got carried away with the euphoria of the Cooper sacking. It's failed, no coming back from this now. Likeable person (not many of those in football) but, with regret, has to go for the sake of our club.

Position is untenable, clearly given false promises about the January transfer window, however from the Everton game he has looked like he has checked out.

Uninspiring team selections, odd substitutions and an absolute stubbornness to play the same formation and style regardless of opponent or circumstance.

This has been a disaster of an appointment but just like the Cooper recruitment in the summer it just compounds what a poorly run club we have become, we have spunked £80m on mainly 2nd rate players on huge wages and contracts. Ruud has been terrible but no way should he be the scapegoat for the piss poor management of this club by the board and ownership.

Think he's lost the dressing room?

I don't think he ever had the dressing room to begin with, most of our players look half arsed and aren't concerned about our predicament, they cannot wait to leave.

The squad age, and even more so the managers age which is frankly a bizarre point, isn’t the problem. In my opinion. Of the starting 11 yesterday only Vardy (38), Ayew (33) and BDCR (31) were over 30. And of them it’s only Vardy who looks old for a footballer.

This is my opinion, but with the right manager this squad could definitely stay up. Cooper had us close but Ruud has overseen a significant downturn in points and performance. His selections, motivation, tactics and in game management are way below what we need to keep this squad up. Wrong appointment definitely, but he’s not got enough.

Typical modern manager who talks and good game as is media friendly.

We need a old school players manager, who a leader of men and a proper tracksuit coach.

The problem I have with Ruud is his tactics.

We play the same team, same formation and same everything every week and lose.

Why doesn't he mix it up a bit? 5 at the back maybe or two up top? He literally can not do anything worse than we are already are.

I thought this, our team is the pits and individually Mads is the only one for me who has any proffesionalism, there performances in matches are no where near what you'd expect, as most have said an unlikable group.

RVN has no experience how to deal with this, or any idea to improve it, things are worse we need a manager who can deal with the situation at hand.

Nobody experienced would want the f**king job, we are left with dross inexperienced options. Was Ruud even our first choice to begin with? No it was the likes of Moyes , Potter but they wouldn't touch us with a barge pole.
