How did he ever get the job. It's astonishing. Well on his way to being on the worst ever list of Premier League managers.

Have we ever had as big a cxxt as RVFN manage us? Discuss

I'll still put Sousa down as that, purely because the bloke had a pre-season, good foundations of a team that had made the playoffs the season before, and completely obliterated them because he wanted Steve Howard and Robbie Neilson to play tiki-taka

Wouldn't be surprised if we gave it to a Big Sam type manager, huge bonus if he keeps us up.

I am fed up of hearing at least Cooper had a plan, he didn’t he was an appalling manager who relied on moments, an almighty dollop of luck and a goalkeeper playing out of his skin, RVN has a plan and a structure the trouble is its laboured and the majority of our players that he selects lack the technical skills to execute and make it effective.

2 woeful appointments

Can’t quite agree. Maybe one is called being flexible given the limitations of the squad. The second one is called having no idea how to make things work.

I was indifferent when Maresca left. Oh boy, I rather watch boring passing football than this current display.

He’s already on it!

He should be sacked on the pitch at HT along with the whole hierarchy. Probably get the loudest cheer of the night.

We're 9 points from safety and relegation seems sealed.

RVN is awful absolutely shocking, beyond defending even if the director of football is also clueless.

RVN needs to be sacked out of principle.

Why wait we're 9 points adrift. We have an interim until the end of the season and then appoint a permanent in summer.

What we are watching isn't acceptable. A loanee not even in the match squad. Only one player from the last transfer window on the bench.

Whyy was ruud appointed?

He needs to go. Yes the DoF needs the sack but this is unacceptable. 7.5 games without a goal at home.

RVN is honking

Literally no point in trying to appoint a new manager now, for the reasons you cite. Very few quality candidates available.no he's

RVN has a plan and a structure?? Where?

He also has relied on an almighty dollop of luck, often lucky we haven’t conceded more than we actually have. The fact we are now 45 mins away from a record breaking 7 consecutive home games without a single goal is an absolute disgrace and should be a sackable offence alone. I’m fed up of hearing excuses for this bloke, he is quite clearly one of our worse managers of all time.

Cooper wasn’t flexible he was absolutely awful we had no defensive structure at all and were conceding chances left, right and centre.  Any attacking play was based around chaos and largely threw releasing the shackles in the last few minutes when the game was already lost. And his desire for proven premier league experience has meant a disjointed recruitment strategy.

The club have royally effed up with 2 shocking appointments they have killed any chance of making a fist of it this season.

Completely agree.

Why do people have to pick who’s poorer out of RVN and Cooper?

Both heinous appointments.

This.

Cooper just wasn't good enough. But RVN is just plain bad. You wouldn't even want him in the lower divisions. A genuinely bad football manager.

I haven’t defended RVN I think he has been terrible, I am just saying he has a plan and structure but it’s not fit for purpose with our squad. Which is criminal, as a manager you have to come up with a style that suits the skills of the players available to you.
