I have no links with Newcastle at all.  The closest I've ever gotten is pushing Mark Knopfler's car back into the paddock at Mallory Park :P  (Damn, that was a LONG time ago - ('94?) - now I feel old again :( )

I saw Dire Straits back in the summer of 92, bringing back some great memories.

In this weeks edition of ‘Sutton talks shit’

Chris continues to moan about how we treated Steve Cooper whilst stating we are improved under RVN. Chris is not contradicting himself at all. Chris also gives his weekly 3-0 defeat for Leicester prediction.

I did not like the way Leicester treated Steve Cooper but they have definitely had a bounce since appointing Ruud van Nistelrooy, who has made the start he desired.

It is fair to say that Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has not had the season he wanted so far, but any team who can beat Arsenal and draw with Liverpool must have something about them.

Howe's side have been consistently inconsistent, but they are not far off becoming the team he wants them to be.

I am expecting them to click here, and I actually think this will be quite straightforward for them.

Sutton's prediction: 3-0

He also said Brighton would beat us 3-0 and we know how that went

For some reason - I presume it has to do with selling advertising through clickbait reactions etc - illiterate mouthy clown football pundits like Sutton, Savage, Merson, Micah Richards, Joe Cole etc are very much in vogue in this country.

It's actually quite sad when you compare their lack of intelligence/knowledge to those who comment on other sports like cricket and golf - eg Nasser Hussain, Michael Atherton, Nick Dougherty, Laura Davies etc.

I am a big fan of NFL, and the American co-commentators/ex-players like Tony Romo, Cris Collinsworth and Troy Aikman are absolutely brilliant. Not only can they string coherent sentences together but they are perceptive, humorous and very very informative.

Anyway, not that his opinion matters one jot, but I sincerely hope we make a complete arse of that bitter and twisted Celtic-loving twat on Saturday (like we have done most weeks).

Just think how those 2 idiots would have felt if Dopey Cooper had turned up at their beloved Narwich and Arsoles?

I quite like Merson but lets face both of them are absolutely stealing a living

Merson provides 0 analysis or tactical insight. Just talks like a bloke down the pub.

Haha it said it wasn’t posting. Nevermind, why say something once when you can say it four times?

Glad you took it the right way.

Spot on , they just drool over their old teams and have no qualifications for forecasting any result ...instead of asking Merson who's gonna win you may as well borrow a donkey, dress it in pink pyjamas, put a bucket with a team name at each end of the paddock and see which one it goes to ...easy 🤷‍♂️

What do you think of  Barnes?
Any chance he’ll be loaned out in January? Or just wishful thinking from me.

Harvey Lewis Barnes is an odd one. Clearly, clearly a brilliant finisher and has been unreal when introduced from the bench. But whenever he starts a game, he simply cannot impose himself on it. He's got the pace, the intelligence and his finishing is some of the best I've seen. He's had opportunities to impress, but hasn't done enough to hold down that starting position ahead of Joelinton or Willock.

I'd be open to selling him, IF we can get roughly what we paid for him (£30-40m). But I doubt he'll attract that kind of money now. No point in loaning him out unless they'll pay his wages + a fee (which is unlikely).

Best thing for us is keep him, use him as an impact sub, and just tell the Premier League to shove the PSR rules up their arse.

Anything like the BBC and talk shite should be binned. They don’t know anything about football, and the topic of conversations are often redundant because whatever they’re talking about is utter bollocks…….

Fan made podcasts are the way forward, real fans talking about real subjects and engaging with one another.

I always knew the first 20 mins in games if he was starting whether he’d be any good for us. As good as he can be he’s also extremely frustrating. When he was with us he never seemed to have the intelligence to do anything it was as if he constantly needed to be told. As you say prob best coming off the bench.
Can either be unplayable or just not at it.

Sutton has had his weirdo issues with us ever since we got Rodgers from Celtic, that managed to proper rattle him

Indeed he has. Because it destroyed the myth that Celtic are such a ‘massive club’ that no manager could ever want to leave them for little Leicester City (despite our humongous recent achievements).

Sutton and Merson are twats, both seem to hate us.

How anyone can have watched us and say Cooper was competent is beyond me. Anyone who knows anything about football should have seen he was out of his depth, no game plan, no tactics, not even fight. Just shite.

What I dont get is how on earth they and Carragher can hold down a highly paid "pundit" commentator job. They are absolutely useless.
