Wolves manager Vitor Pereira on Matheus Cunha's availability after he was charged by the Football Association with misconduct: "I am not sure because we haven't decided. He is an important player in our team. My first impression [of the squad] is I am very happy. Of course every team can improve and we will try and improve. It is important to get the confidence again and the results. The results will bring confidence and give them motivation and clear ideas."

“It was worrying that he had to leave the pitch at half-time. It was an immediate assessment, treatment and rehab [after the game] and we’re waiting to see how today and tomorrow is, of course, to see if he can play on Sunday. It’s a possibility but we’ll have to see.”

 

“We keep our options open,” he added. “We know that we’re going for Mads, to see if he can make it. If not, we have a decision to make. We have to wait on today and tomorrow, how training goes.

 

“We know also that the situation is that Jakub is recently only back from a long injury. He’s just played one game in the Under-21s. All that information, we will analyse, and make the best decision possible.”

 

“Harry has been fully a part of team training,” van Nistelrooy explained. “He’s available for selection again which is very positive news for the team, for the squad. Wilfred is in his rehab. He’s not on the pitch so he’s not available for selection.”

Hopefully talking about “Jakub” is recognition that he is still our 2nd choice keeper and “other options” might just have been forced upon us through injury

Definitely sounds that way to me. Worryingly though, he doesn't seem convinced that Jakub is 100% fit yet. So where does that leave us if Mads isn't match-ready by Sunday?

Maybe that means internally they’ve not decided whether to punish him? Would be odd to appeal it because he’s guilty as they come but it would be just our luck 

 

all I know is that Danny ward vs Cunha means we shouldn’t bother watching

Think I'd like to see Okoli back in alongside Vestergaard for this. We need a bit of physicality and pace in that back line. I'd go with:

 

           Mads (if fit obvs)

I reckon there's about 1 post in every 500 that actually selects a team I would. This is the 1. 

 

To see that some people are selecting Coady. The mind boggles.

When Gibbs-white got banned for his post Brighton antics, it took a month before he missed a game 

 

they will play him because they will let the fa decide the punishment and not further it on themselves.
