“Mr Chairman” is some proper third world communist dictatorship type expression

Did the last 4-5 years just not happen to these people? 😳

The strangest thing for me - amongst a whole lot of strange things about this club! - is that most clubs, organisations and businesses in general would work really hard at engaging with their supporters or 'customers' in order to foster or generate interest in their products or activities.

The hierarchy at LCFC clearly regard their supporters as a total nuisance to be kept in ignorance and at arms lengt, to be starved of any news.

As long as we keep giving them money of course

Most clubs, Are we all getting caught up in a moment here?

What are the owners of Man C, Liverpool, Chelsea

..Fulham, Brentford, Wolves, Forest, etc etc actually working hard on personally or even via the wider club to engage the fans above and beyond what Leicester City do/don’t do.

Where are these “we are all 1 family” clubs in the higher echelons of football, I think most clubs are very similar in their output of engagement nowadays and it’s probably those small 1 area clubs that truly need their local fan base to survive, the rest like most industries really don’t look past the bottom line.

Even from a distance, I can guarantee they do more in general to keep the fans in the loop. But we are in a 'crisis' period and have heard nothing from the club hierarchy? That's not acceptable. But you guarantee that if we do go back up, Top will be front and centre then won't be? Just like he was last time. Putting out a happy birthday to the chairman is a bit odd isn't it?

I do agree that the happy birthday boss is a little self indulgent along with being very brown nosy on someone’s behalf but I guess they could be trying to speak for us / engage with us about it being his b/day who knows.

Thing is do I pay much attention to what they put out, not really tbh.
I want to hear about transfers, see the latest pics & videos & managers thoughts which they are doing (obviously nothing doing on the transfer front and no club will admit they are in talks until it’s just about over the line)  not really sure what else I really want to hear from them given it’s off season.

I’m sure if I looked I’d find football in the community programs being run, job vacancies especially on the grounds academy front, hospital visits etc

Yes the PSR nonsense is frustrating but it’s a legal case so they can’t discuss that so what is it people want to hear that they aren’t getting?

You are right but I am struggling to think of a club which is increasingly poor on the corporate sales side. They have even given up on milking the support now.

There is still no shirt available and there is literally zero coverage that Sheffield Wednesday is on general sale.

There is zero coverage today about the Womens side despite the obvious attention in that area. The link they provided to renew a Womens season ticket didn't work for the first twelve hours last week.

Two weeks away there is zero briefing about digital tickets or safe standing.

The website is full of pop-up's about the Fiorentina friendly which is clearly been overpriced. It should have been a loss leader to make a proper day of it.

After initial bit of effort when the players returned, we are back to minimal effort. At a time when they need to create a siege mentality or just something, they are totally twiddling their thumbs.

It’s hardly a surprise he can’t run a football club when he can’t make money from a monopoly in the most connected airport in the world. More people hanging around, nothing to do but shop, and captive to just your retail outlets prior to getting on their next plane
.

Suvarnabhumi airport might not have butterfly gardens or robot bag handlers, but it now holds the title of the world's most airline-connected airport.

Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi tops global rankings as most airline-connected airport.

Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok has claimed the number one spot as the airport with the most airlines operating in the world, surpassing major international hubs such as Paris Charles de Gaulle and Dubai International Airport, according to recent data from Brilliant Maps and FlightConnections as of April 16, 2025.

The Bangkok-based airport currently hosts 113 airlines, offering flights to 151 destinations across 47 countries, with an annual passenger volume of over 51.6 million and approximately 484 daily flights.
This achievement marks a significant milestone, reflecting Thailand’s growing importance as a regional aviation hub and a gateway for international tourism and business.

@Grok, are King Power going to stay?..

There is no definitive evidence that King Power is actively selling Leicester City Football Club as of July 28, 2025. However, recent reports indicate significant financial challenges for King Power, which have sparked speculation about the potential sale of the club.

Key points from available information:

Financial Strain: King Power, the Thai-based duty-free retailer owned by the Srivaddhanaprabha family, is facing severe financial difficulties due to a downturn in Thailand’s tourism market, particularly affecting its duty-free operations. Reports suggest the company is at risk of bankruptcy or liquidation, with new CEO Nitinai Sirismatthakarn describing the situation as a matter of "survival."foxesofleicester.comtelegraph.co.uk

Speculation on Sale: Finance expert Adam Williams has suggested that Leicester City, valued as a £200m-plus asset, could be sold to alleviate King Power’s financial pressures, especially as the club is seen as a cash drain during a time of need. He believes King Power would likely sell before the situation leads to administration for the club.foxesofleicester.comeflanalysis.com

Fan and Media Sentiment: Some Leicester City fans and commentators have expressed that selling the club might be a logical step, given King Power’s struggles and the club’s recent relegation to the Championship.

However, no concrete sale process has been confirmed.leicestermercury.co.uk

Historical Commitment: King Power has shown long-term commitment to Leicester City, having written off ÂŁ194m in club debt in 2023 and converting ÂŁ318m of debt into equity in recent years, indicating a reluctance to sell in the past.skysports.comskysports.comleicestermercury.co.uk

Current Status: While there is no official confirmation of a sale, the ongoing financial turmoil at King Power, combined with Leicester’s relegation and managerial uncertainty (e.g., Ruud van Nistelrooy’s departure), has fueled speculation. Williams noted that the issue may resurface early in 2026, but he doubts it will reach the point of administration.eflanalysis.com

In summary, while King Power’s financial troubles have led to discussions about possibly selling Leicester City, no sale has been confirmed, and the situation remains speculative. For the latest updates, you may want to check trusted sources like Leicestershire Live or the club’s official website.foxesofleicester.comleicestermercury.co.ukeflanalysis.com

Not sure if this is in the right place but apologies if it is and if someone could tell me where it should go in a friendly way....however, I have supported the club for well over 50 years.  Cannot remember a year where I have not bought ANY club merchandise.  My kids always used to get me something from the shop but they are under strict orders not to do so now.  I will not put any more money into the club, other than my season ticket (yes mug) until we have people running the club that know what they are doing or the people running it accept they are useless and move on.....do not need to name names obviously

Is there not an opportunity here to unite with the Sheffield Wednesday fans on 10th August in front of the Sky TV cameras by showing total disdain for our respective board(s)/owner(s)? This could be done with banners and 90 minutes of chanting and protests against those who are running both clubs into the ground.

I realise that Wednesday are currently in a worse situation than us, and their fans are likely to be much more vociferous against Chansiri than our "happy clappers" will be against KP/Top/Rudkin/Whelan, but if our fans don't do something to try to stop the ever increasing downward spiral we're in then it won't be too long before we are in the same situation as them.

Enough is enough and change is needed now. King Power out!

A very good balance.

I get those who criticise people still buying a season ticket in the sense of wanting change. I also understand people want to still go and support the team. The bigger problem is not people going but many of those going being up Aiyawatt’s arse but there’s no problem people being in the ground if the atmosphere is putting pressure on him.

However, nobody needs to buy crap from the store, or overpriced food and drink in the ground. Where a retro shirt from years back, take your own food and drink. Like you say, not a penny outside of the ST.
