I don’t think he likes the fans anymore since they have turned on him, he probably thought he could do whatever he wants and people will back him no matter what. This is his way of getting back at the fans by sabotaging the club.

People have been saying this for the last how many years, nothing will come to a head whilst we have the kpfc loyalist fans ever still attedning, it will just create more blue on blue action in the stands where the club will take the side of the kpfc lot obviously. Think it's just been all to much for him had a lot to deal with, is dad was a generous man but when we gave silly contracts to certain players that's when we lost our identity.

This is just the latest stage of the usual LCFC merry-go-round/death spiral. The exact ordering of events may vary slightly, but overall here is what we can look forward to again:  

 

Summer Break

• After abject failure, the key positive is the club has over 3 months to rectify the situation ahead of the new season
• Club responds by shutting down and going on holiday. Weeks are wasted. 
• Eventually they return to an underwhelming manager shortlist highlighting glaring lack of data and footballing knowledge within clubs hierarchy.
• Inevitably appoint resulting underwhelming candidate, on unfavourable terms.
• Disjointed approach to signing players. Lack of preparation and strategy is obvious again.
• Promising potential signings compare LCFC to alternatives and run a mile. Our only bargaining tool throwing more money at them.
• The only incomings are either below the level we should be aspiring to, convinced to sign on unfavourable terms by agents who see us as an easy ride, or both.
• Fans wonder why we have a scouting department and what they have been doing for the last few years.
• Club position undermines the squad value of our remaining assets, who are sold below market value.

New season starts.

• Fans remain fed up and know what's coming. Yet are urged to "give them a chance" / "get behind them".
• Players look unfit and turn in underwhelming performances.
• Transfer Deadline day comes and goes - Aforementioned lack of club preparation and strategy sees panic signings. Agents are laughing at LCFC. Fans not allowed to complain because we "needed bodies through the door".
• Tedious weeks and months pass.  
• Home games see mediocre clubs bring 3000, take the piss, celebrate like they've won the league after a "surprisingly easy" victory at our place. Poor performances and results persist.

Second half of season

• January window. A difficult time to do business. Much better to do so in the summer (so lets blindly hope the club decide to prepare properly for the next summer window).
• 1 or 2 panic signings through the door if we're lucky. Agents laughing at LCFC again.
• Fans who care about the club eventually lose their patience, the atmosphere becomes toxic (by LCFC standards anyway). 
• Certain fans performatively clap and show positivity to display what wonderful supporters they are after 90 mins of silence.
• Our glorious leader returns after a few months. If the result is negative, he may sack the manager before buggering off again, with no strategy or plan in place. Another significant financial blow is dealt. 
• Inexperienced caretakers are forced to take over and are themselves blamed for individual negative results by people who cannot see the bigger picture.  
• Club doesn't bother to appoint a proper manager for weeks. Another season drifts towards failure.  

End of Season

• Our glorious leader persists with no meaningful change. Still immune to the deserved e criticism he deserves.  
• Another year passes of watching former favourites like Barnes and Tielemans play European football for clubs we were far clear of while they played for us.  
• Lack of Media scrutiny persists. Only tiresome tropes such as "If given this choice in 2015, Leicester fans would've still taken it." As if that's how football works. 
• Another year wasted. Another year plummeting to new lows. Club pushed closer towards financial oblivion.  
• Fans contemplate again how we squandered the significantly unfair financial advantage that comes with being an established Premier League club, where even mediocre leadership would've seen us remain exactly that. 

 

 

It's all desperately tiresome and they deserve everything coming to them. I'm delighted that life circumstances have seen me move abroad & give up my ST, because I couldn't imagine facing another year of this right now.  

 

It's already gone too far, but reality will hit us harder in the years to come. At this stage, hoping for us to enter administration to rid us of our "leadership" is just about the only hope we have before we actually cease to exist.

This is an accurate a summary of what happens as I've read. All the signs are there for more of the same. We're pissing no league under this lot unless we absolutely fluke it with a manager like Maresca who had enough about him to really take a hold of things himself. He sussed very early what he was working with.

 

It took a spectacular level of incompetence to get relegated in 2023. Served up one of the worst top flight sides of all time in 2025. And then somehow managed to outdo the 2023 debacle in 2026 with an even more disgraceful relegation.

 

The worst run club in England and it genuinely isn't even close. There is no club so lacking in absolute basic fundamentals as this one. To the point our fans have become used to it and think it's normal. It's as depressing existence as imaginable. A club in complete freefall and absolutely nothing is stopping it.

I was pleasantly surprised that no-one had a go at me when I changed my FB cover photo to a King Power out one (I used the placard about Rudkin from the protest before QPR). Even got a couple of likes.

Speak to plenty of fellow supporters - my own mates, plus others I see in my local on match days. Most people want KP gone, although many say they're sorry it's come to this. 

I did have one person say "really?" and looked mildly surprised when I said we needed new owners but he didn't say anymore so gave me no reasons.

I realise that's not really answering your question but made me think that the tide is turning.

I was pretty pleasantly surprised when I saw a woman at work for the first time in about five years, a few months back, big LCFC fan, who always struck me as a little bit happy clappy suggest we need new ownership totally unprompted from me. I think more do believe this than a lot of us want to think. People have a breaking point. At the end of the day, we are literally in the lowest position in our entire history. Even those who spent so much time while the decline was obvious making excuses for it and how it had been worse can't do that anymore. The penny has definitely dropped for plenty.

 

I mean wanting Rudkin out is pretty much unanimous at this point. Maybe a third relegation in four years on top of his own position being strengthened may be what finally did it.

This is my experience too. I speak to plenty of supporters, through friends, family, pub but also a lot through work. Pretty much everyone is king power out, even the ones that were supportive a little while back. The rudkin promotion seems to have really turned a lot and then the relegation brought the rest in. 
 

I think the few staunch defenders people mention on facebook (I’m not on Facebook so haven’t seen) really are a very small handful of people shouting very loudly.
