He’s desperate to be a main man up front so joins Emerys Villa where he will be behind Duran and Watkins up front and Rogers on the left. 2

Which is bizarre tbh, but maybe they're looking to offload one?

StriderHiryu Posted 17 January 2025 Posted 17 January 2025 We were linked earlier in the season. He might not have been good, but at this price, you can take a punt. He is quite similar to Skipp in terms of profile, so if we had gotten him for say 5M compared to the Skipp fee, it would have left the squad in a better posiiton overall. 4

Just shows you the absolute ineptitude of our football administrators, Moder is a better player than Skipp and highly likely would have cost 15% of the fee. Maybe they took the learnings from the last relegation ‘review’ and decided they could actually be even more shambolic.

Sounded like Skipp was a Cooper signing as he worked with him at youth level. We so need a director of football who leads the strategy, rather than leaving it to the manager and then the club keeps chopping and changing, leaving players bought for big money on the sidelines.
JimJams Posted 17 January 2025 Posted 17 January 2025 (edited) Take a look at how everybody felt in the Moder thread from the summer and tell me anybody would have been happy getting him for £5mill. Edited 17 January 2025 by JimJams
Grebfromgrebland Posted 17 January 2025 Posted 17 January 2025 I think our board have just given up. Can't see us bringing in more than 1 player who's good enough to start most games. We're playing like we're down.
JimJams Posted 18 January 2025 Posted 18 January 2025 Nuamah doesn't exactly help them score goals though does he?

Sold Solanke but can't think any other big sales. They don't have trouble convincing players to join them. Probably because they have not won anything or been in Europe, they don't have players knocking down the door demanding pay rises to stay. They have no ambition to be much more than mid table survival team. It will work until it doesn't. When they get relegated again it won't be a disaster. They will never win the league or FA Cup though.

Forest are having a good go but ultimately I think they will fall short and then best players will leave.
