A free hit really.

Win might inspire some confidence, a defeat means we won’t clog up additional fixtures just to lose to the first decent team we play in the next couple of rounds.

I completely disagree.

The team needs a win. Any win.
Losing in the first round of the FA cup as a premier league team to a “lower” opposition is embarrassing and there would be even more questions and more of a pile on.

I wouldn’t say this is a “free hit” at all

Could we recall Braybrooke and play him in this?

He's hardly playing for Dundee.

I'd recall him for sure, better off in our development squads playing regular than sat on Dundee's bench.

How has this one sold?

I haven't checked but cannot see more than a 23K-25k attendance.

Newcastle lost at home to League 2 Cambridge when they looked certain for relegation, but managed to survive.

What good will a 1-0 win at home to QPR do when we get drawn away at Liverpool in the next round, have to play an extra game during a busy schedule and get beat by 4 or 5?

Maybe the players and management need some embarrassment and a ‘pile-on’ to buck up their ideas and start performing? Maybe the Board will take notice and realise we need some investment.

I’m not saying I’d want to lose, I’d never want to lose any game, but it would be far from the end of the world if we did.

Perfect opportunity to see if the youngsters can help with the team in latter of this year and blood them in for championship next season.

Just seen @Sly has same team above. image.gif.7af5012bd1fb739d3b9a48defa951955.gif

If they need to lose to QPR to realise we need investment and aren’t already embarrassed about some of the performances, none of it matters anyway because they are blind to the state we are in

Interesting the swathes of unsold seats outside the core of fans the club is trying its hardest to get rid of.

Really wish they would give it a shot centrally.

So do many others. But it's clear the club don't want the same as our fans want.

Yeah they told me they don’t want to move any seats around again.

I’m worried about a potential upset given QPR’s recent form.

We have to play a strong team and just have to win.
